Cherry Blue Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 It just doesn't add up!! Surely GB isn't clueless and knows his input needs to be 100%. If he is back this afternoon he'll feel knackered from the flight and not able to give that 100% at wednesday's training.

RoyRover Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Didn't GB have a very slight dig at the owners the other day, saying something about how we can't have another season like this one behind the scenes and the club needs to sort itself out? Or something along those lines? Maybe they want to give him a scolding for that.

I was thinking that when reading them at the time even though he wasn't exactly scathing - not even sure if the Venky's following quotes coming out of the club.
McClarky Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Expect some sort of announcement within the next 2 to 3 hours. You mean 2 to 3 weeks don't you
bypass06 Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Blackburn Rovers legend Simon Garner criticises timing of club management's summit with owners Venky's http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/blackburn_rovers/news/10342164.Blackburn_Rovers_legend_Simon_Garner_criticises_timing_of_club_management_s_summit_with_owners_Venky_s/
MrT Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 what surprises me is the surprise at the timing of the meeting. While Venkys are at the helm, nothing should surprise us at all!! 2 and a half years of traipsing to and from Pune, for all and sundry, tells its own story.
SydneyRover Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Really wish they all went the way of Thatcher..
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted April 9, 2013 Moderation Lead Posted April 9, 2013 Can't they just f***ing do all this over skype??? FFS.

ABBEY Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 I know Kaa-gnew is a man of many shadowy talents but how do you stick your tongue up someone's arse over skype? Cyber sex !! Mind you the thick nobender couldn't use the fax so he can't be expected to use a laptop .
Mercer Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Really wish they all went the way of Thatcher.. Big difference. Maggie dragged-up the country from its knees - you are probably too young to remember when 'Sunny Jim' and 'pips squeak' Healey made frequent trips to the IMF with the country's begging bowl, not to mention the rubbish piled high in the streets and the unburied dead ! This country owes Maggie a lot. This lot have brought Rovers to their knees.
OJRovers Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Venkys are a prime example of how useless the 'Fit and Proper' test is. The FA are hiding behing the "it's not a test for incompetance", well then it should be improved to stop the game being ridiculed by idiot owners who don't have a clue. A minimum requirement for an appropriately experienced empowered Board of Directors would be a start.
cop Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Venkys are a prime example of how useless the 'Fit and Proper' test is. The FA have their hands tied. How Venkys choose to run their club is entirely up to them, as long as they don't break any football rules or laws regarding their own business. The scary thing is, they could drop Blackburn tomorrow and take over another club and do the same to them and they wont fail the 'fit and proper' test before destroying another club.
McClarky Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Really wish they all went the way of Thatcher.. You mean make them all Honoury Vice Prtesidents?
Mercer Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Well it's all gone very quiet. I think this little lot might just be the straw that breaks the camel's back ! Rovers for sale would not be a surprise.
ABBEY Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Well it's all gone very quiet. I think this little lot might just be the straw that breaks the camel's back ! Rovers for sale would not be a surprise. it wouldnt be a shock? oh aw reet then.
47er Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Well it's all gone very quiet. I think this little lot might just be the straw that breaks the camel's back ! Rovers for sale would not be a surprise. But it would be a joy.......
broadsword Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Not if they sell it to someone worse. Actually, I'm not sure if that's possible.
mhead Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 They'll probably offer the Club for $1 to the PNE 2, and they will accept it.
Kamy100 Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 I wouldn't expect any kind of statement regarding the talks etc that have been going on. As of lunchtime Bowyer was still in the dark as to whether he will be incharge at the weekend (I expect that he will).
CapeTownRover Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Not if they sell it to someone worse. Actually, I'm not sure if that's possible. Ahsan Allie Syed lol or something like that
