Guest Norbert Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 I see Mercerman is still saying we'll be sold before the 1st game. I can't see it myself, despite the logic of his post on the previous page. And as a previous poster said, if it did happen, it'll be the financial equivilent of a hospital pass to a rugby player about to come into contact with Brian Lima and Jonah Lomu.

Blue blood Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 If Shabby goes, along with Agnew it'll hint we've moved from the corrupt (all decisions wrong) to the incompetent (most decisions wrong). Would be happy to see the back of him because of all the balls ups we've made h. e has to be the least qualified for his position. Other than make us look stupid, fuel a board room divide and cost us money on a bunch of portugese no marks I'm not sure what he does. Will be good to get shot of him.

Agree with your other points but surely fueling the boardroom divide was a good thing, kept Lord Agnew and his pet Shaw in the spotlight and therefore whoever was pulling both their strings
RoyRover Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 Great news if this happens. The man is a total imbecile and has used us to try and further himself despite being grossly under qualified to run a club. The sooner he's gone the better.
CapeTownRover Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Don't hold your breath Abbey on any updates lol its like you waiting on Sofia Vergara, asking you to sleep with her lol
Blue blood Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Agree with your other points but surely fueling the boardroom divide was a good thing, kept Lord Agnew and his pet Shaw in the spotlight and therefore whoever was pulling both their strings That was an advantage, but assume a more competent person reporting to Venkys (which Shabby clearly isn't) could have done so without creating all the unrest and turmoil that he did, which must have impacted the players and made the club look even more stupid. Added to which it ended up with us getting Berg as a manager as he was the only option they could agree with. Also meant that Appleton's reign was cut short. Whilst with the benefit of hindsight that has worked out ok - it could well have cost us the only chance to get someone with a sensible plan of laying foundations and someone talking sense. Not saying Appleton was great (although I wonder how he'd have done when the injuries cleared up) but the constant changing of managers (in part due to internal politics) did us no favors whatsoever.
saxo1man30 Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 looks like shebby is to remain in india to head up the rovers acadamy over there. don`t have any complaints about that, but would be interested to know if him doing that is still costing the club the same wage(was it circa £400,000 a year?).
ABBEY Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 It's all right him doing it but the problem starts when they want to introduce the players hee and they've been shebbyied .
saxo1man30 Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 His wages are paid by Venkys and not the club. then i have no problems at all, he can even bring judan ali in over there. they`d both probably be ok doing that job. It's all right him doing it but the problem starts when they want to introduce the players hee and they've been shebbyied . no problem, provided eric kinder then gets to assess their abilities as to whether they can join the main club set up on a contract basis. it doesn`t do us any harm, and you never know, if they can find just one player of talent from over there, it`d be something. india is a big place, i`m sure there is some up to it over there.

In theory this is not a bad idea. If Rovers can unearth a genuine talent from India it will do a lot of good. However, the theory falls flat if Shebby sticks his oar in rather than letting proper coaches do the work. His "strength" is media work. He needs to concentrate on keeping his face in front of the cameras wearing non-knocked off Rovers gear y'knowing it about how good the Indian academy is.

Rover_Shaun Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 There is more chance of us winning the champions league this decade than Shabby developing a player from India
perthblue02 Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 There is more chance of us winning the champions league this decade than Shabby developing a player from India O ye of little faith remember "we are not quite there yet" only two years away from Europe as promised the season after challenging for a top 5 spot in the $remier league
darrenrover Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 Im out of the country and had no internet access for a couple of weeks, it's been a long day and I can't be bothered scrolling through the thread. Apologies to all for asking the question, has Shebby Singh been potted yet? (Hands clasped together and looking towards the stars as I await the answer!)

Here's hoping!
Craigman Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 http://www.thesundaily.my/news/757910 No, he is talking again !!
Guest Norbert Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 I am almost hoping he has a fatal accident. That seems to be the only way he'll shove off.
Rover_Shaun Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 http://www.thesundaily.my/news/757910 No, he is talking again !! Shebby "The owners came in when the club was plunging, a dropping stone," he says. "There was too much baggage. Even if Roman Abramovich had come in they would have continued to sink. They came in at the wrong time. I can safely say now we've hit rock bottom. I'm very confident. We've stayed alive and won't go any lower." The club was plunging????????? Fckin lying idiot and "As a player I got abuse from between 30,000 and 40,000 people" Yeah right. Remove two zeros
Ricky Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 The bit that has been quoted above was the one that struck me as well. We had just finished 10th in the premier league and were on track for another top half finish. It's hardly what you'd call dropping like a stone!
CapeTownRover Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 Dear oh Dear Shebby! this guy is making a mockery out of our club, with all this bloody nonsense coming out of his mouth.
