See we have another 'bad un' lined up, all the way form the UEA.What on earth is going on at the club, why cant Rovers attract some decent players, or is it that the agent the club uses doesnt have any decent players or contacts.

All these second rate players that Rovers are looking at aint making Gary Bowyer look good.

I don't even think you know what you're on about any more!!

He's a trialist. If he's good, we sign, if not, we walk away. Best not to dismiss players before they're even signed based on YouTube footage....

If GB is going to put his money on the likes of Josh Lowe then don't think he's the man for Me

He's worked a long time with this Liowe and if he can't see that he's crap and very limited then says a lot of GB........

Interesting that soon as David Dunn and Williamson signed there new contracts they never play another game so far . Hope somebody in the medical team is held accountable ...

For my take Abdul-Rahman is a step above lcompared to Lowe ....jobs for the boys comes to mind ...think if your local it covers a lot of faults ..

Jobs for the boys?? Give it a rest. (That's the second time you've had a snide swipe about this Abdulrahman bloke - are you his brother? Agent?

Have you seen the state of the English game?

We (as a footballing nation) don't offer home grown players nearly enough playing time, let alone do them any favours. Bringing in unknown (and useless) foreign signings has been Rovers policy over the last two years so don't play that card.

They only real successful buy in that period? A Scotsman.

That would be 13th in the top flight, according to Statto.

I know this is easy to corrupt stats but take away the Walker years as they were unbelivable and funded by a sugar daddy and the very early years of pro football then re evaluate.

The average arm chair supporter or skysports viewer will have Rovers and other Lancashire clubs as second tier teams at best.

If you remove the last 20 years and extrapolate Liverpool's success, they're the league winners about 35 times. You can't re-write history for the sake of an argument.

Guest Norbert

No harm in giving the Arab guy a trial for a few weeks. If he's rubbish then we say thank you and let him leave. That is assuming this isn't another Bruno/Anderson type of deal being hoisted onto the club from certain quarters, and the deal is already done.

So your problem is Lowe? Why didn't you say so? That's a totally different debate.

From your posts it sounded like if Boywer didn't buy Abdulrahman he should quit because he's not giving foreigner players a chance... or something.

Oh...

Amar is the player ...

Need a brave coach to give these guys a equal shot..

Lowe is a squd player cant blame the last two seasons on him some of the players hes playd under and managers have been absolute woeful which is not wat a young player needs when breakin theough, i think this year will tell us wether lowe is good enuff or not

It's been discussed before Mark. (Probably several times).

Look at our post-WW2 record - and take away the Walker era and subsequent (unsustainable) legacy period and redo your sums.

You're right, Stuart. But only to a degree.

But our history - recent and otherwise - stands comparison with almost any. We are trying to convince players to come here after all, not convince fans of other clubs to support us

Players invariably come to clubs who pay them the most. After that it's convincing them that we are a team on the up.

Unlikely any players will come to Rovers because we won the league 20 years ago (although possible) less because we have a great FA cup record 100 years ago.

The bigger draw after money and ambition is a marquee manager but that's usually tied to ambition anyway. For a club of our finances, we would have done well to have thrown what little we had at a 'name' manager if attracting better players was the aim.

No deal agreed for UAE international Amer Abdulrahman says Bowyer, but might take him om trial.

looks like he not coming to Rovers.

what about a loan bid for Villa midfielder Barry Bannan? He is very good player and would defo add quality to our Midfielder. Would fans been happy if we can get him. he is available for transfer/loan from Villa

Would be great but sadly out of our league I think, Chaddy. Takes all their set pieces too iirc.

Asked if Abdulrahman will arrive on trial, he added: "I dont know, hes another name thats on the list."

Definitely sounds like someone other than GB is pushing for this transfer...

Perhaps Formica's medical will be ok after all - if we take him on loan.

something is not quite right or some deal has been done.
