"Haters" is a bit strong in general(though there are a handful and we all know who they are), I think most are just being critical(and with fair reason) as for starting a new thread for every single little topic that pops up in the flow of each thread, that's just not practical.

Anybody could go out there and just "put a shift in", but anyhoo.
