blueboy3333 Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 There is a world of difference between being run properly and being run on the cheap. Fans did not want the Beckham/Ronaldhio/Maradona nonsense, this is the polar opposite to that. Not paying agents fees is probably worse than over paying them, ask Mike Newell what it did for his career in management. Who mentioned not paying agent fees? It's the level of fees that is the problem. Classic BRFCS, make something up and then base an argument on it. Mike Newell refused to deal with agents, again different to not being ripped off by them.

chaddyrovers Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 We should not sign Songo'o until a centre back goes, if at all. Surprised that O'Sullivan starts for the reserves, I would play him ahead of Lowe at the weekend. How do you know Pedersens wage Chaddy? Songo'o is Givet replacement basically so hopefully we can get rid of Givet. Sullivan probably needs playing minutes so that's why. Lowe will defo start on Sunday and he will be regular starter under Bowyer. I thought I said last night FFS!!! but I will say again. Pedersen signed a new contract worth up to 50k a week but John Williams was here and he always insert a relegation wage drop clause(usually 40 to 50&% wage drop) into all players contracts when he was Chairman under the Walker trust. so he will be on 25 to 30k(around 1.5 million pounds a season) a week now. that's is why Rovers would probably like to get rid of him to save the money. His contract is up at the end of the season btw. I hope we can get rid of him even just on loan for a season would help reduce our wage bill http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Transfer-news-Blackburn-star-Morten-Gamst-Pedersen-signs-bumper-new-deal-article431635.html
davulsukur Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 Whitehawk FC or something similair. It's near or in Brighton, so maybe they found someone better having a kickabout on the beach. Think the loan was only for a month. A months loan from the start of the season I think?
roversfan99 Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 No one will want Pedersen chaddy, not on high wages. And if Lowe is a regular we won't do very well, I would play Williamson and sign a more creative player beside him. I would choose Dunn, Marrow, O'Sullivan and even Pedersen and Etuhu over Lowe.
Hekla Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 I see three championship clubs are interested in Marlon King, he is securing a release from Birmingham. Bowyer did say he wanted a striker, maybe it's him.
Jamesw1982 Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 Kilgallon injured so now we have NO lef tback only josh morris surely the sooner we sign a left back the better?
watford-rover Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 I see three championship clubs are interested in Marlon King, he is securing a release from Birmingham. Bowyer did say he wanted a striker, maybe it's him. god i hope not, cant rely on him as hes on bail again for hit and run, given his previous criminal record ill be surprised if he avoids jail
AJW Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 I see three championship clubs are interested in Marlon King, he is securing a release from Birmingham. Bowyer did say he wanted a striker, maybe it's him. i hope not ..this guy is serious pondlife .... El Hadji Diouf and Joey Barton are angels compared to that moron
Jamesw1982 Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 Nicko states a foreign left back haha Will believe it when i see it Ive asked a few of my sources n they dunno about a) kilgallons injury or the foreign left back we chasing supposedly
ChesterRover Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 I see three championship clubs are interested in Marlon King, he is securing a release from Birmingham. Bowyer did say he wanted a striker, maybe it's him. Having just read the BBC Sport pages I don't think Marlon will be heading to Ewood.

If kilgallon is injured we might step up the chase for Rowe.
Jamesw1982 Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 that was my thought i think rowe has been mentioned cos of his versatility can play 3/4 diff positions but i dont know much about the guy but posh fans say he was their shining star last season even ahead of gayle.
Speedie Dived Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 Who mentioned not paying agent fees? It's the level of fees that is the problem. Classic BRFCS, make something up and then base an argument on it. Mike Newell refused to deal with agents, again different to not being ripped off by them. The point was if you want good players, you have to pay the fees, it's the nature of the beast. We have pulled out of the deal due to the agents demands, therefore we have not paid them. By my maths he has asked for £500k ish. Would you pay £1.5 million for Barry Bannan? I think i would. Sadly it's the way of the world, the key with agents is not to let them broker a deal to buy your club and then hand them the keys to the safe, heard you get ripped off that way.
Jamesw1982 Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 i still think bannan will sign cos the guy wants to play and wont get games at villa.
chaddyrovers Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 i still think bannan will sign cos the guy wants to play and wont get games at villa. I think Bannan will sign if we can't get a better player in. just hope we can sign a Centre midfielder playmaker who has the right quality before the weekend or even before the Forest home game.
Jamesw1982 Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 ^^ hope not to belhadji I have mixed review about bannan but he is a lot better than what we got so here hoping GB knows what he is doing.
roverslee Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 I see three championship clubs are interested in Marlon King, he is securing a release from Birmingham. Bowyer did say he wanted a striker, maybe it's him. http://www.itv.com/sport/football/article/2013-07-30/birmingham-city-striker-king-arrested-over-crash/ just been arrested today, the guy doesn't deserve to get a contract anywhere
Sparky Marky Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 Belhadj would be a considerable improvement on our current left back. I remember him being a spirited player, just what we could do with, and a bit of experience...we're missing a couple of older heads.
roverslee Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 didn't someone post few days ago rovers closing in on aussie left back craig goodwin nixon just said left back is spanish
adsfortheblues Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 No, the agent simply wants too much money.... If you consider that an agent normaly wants 5-10% of a deal and this plank is asking for nearly 50%.... It's about time the club grew a pair and stood up to the gold digging agents! If you pay one that they all expect it, span this over 10 more deals and you've suddenly spent a lot of money. That is the reason for the hold up. Nothing else. This is why I can't believe the rumours of Blackpool coming in for bannan, Oyston hates agents, hates paying them and would no way pay the wages bannan demands.
alexanders Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 didn't someone post few days ago rovers closing in on aussie left back craig goodwin nixon just said left back is spanish Yeah, There were reports about Goodwin a couple of days ago.Where is the name Belhadj from? Was he the guy who played at Pompey?
Rover_Shaun Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 So the agent story is just a rumour and not a fact?
Salgado Is A Hero Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 Yeah, There were reports about Goodwin a couple of days ago. Where is the name Belhadj from? Was he the guy who played at Pompey? Yea Nadir Belhadj, the left back, remember him. Where has he been mentioned? So the agent story is just a rumour and not a fact? Even if it came out in a newspaper it would be a rumour and not fact.
alexanders Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 Yea Nadir Belhadj, the left back, remember him. Where has he been mentioned? Even if it came out in a newspaper it would be a rumour and not fact. Remember him. Liked his style.
Guest Norbert Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 I see three championship clubs are interested in Marlon King, he is securing a release from Birmingham. Bowyer did say he wanted a striker, maybe it's him. No no no no no. He's been convicted of sexual assault, shafted Coventry after they revived his career by going to Brum after 1 year (on a Bosman), has been arrested on a hit and run, and is probably no better than DJ. He is a weapons grade c__t and is no better than Lee Hughes in this regard.
