Having just watched the Everton full game I have to say I was very disappointed with the 1st half for the goal Taylor should have been much stronger in the tackle to stop that shot coming in the deflection was unlucky not much gk could do about it 2nd goal from the corner horrendous marking& 3rd goal no closing down I think looking at the game in full we desperately need a LB, CB, & CM either Dann or Givet need offloading the Givet saga has thoroughly hacked me off if we have paid him off surely he has no business here seems like another one robbing a living for doing nowt apart from the goal Dann is awful how he gets the captains armband I will never know I hope we get rid of one so we can bring in Songo'o the other frightening thing until Rochina came on our central midfield looks the worst in the division both Lowe & Marrow are too similar we really need the Bannan deal to go through or move to get someone similar would prefer Bannan as he is by far the best option I also thought Rosado did well when he came on & will be good backup & Best showed he has a good presence up front but now with what I have seen what is needed urgently is a LB,CB & CM they should be priority hopefully we can get Bannan over the line tommorrow.

But then subtract no interest in Bannan and divide by Rhodes to Bolton.

Rhodes won't go to Bolton, worry not!

One also suspects Premiership teams have seen what we've all witnessed, he's a one trick pony albeit a good one; he knows where the net is!

I don't want to be antagonistic or anything and I'll qualify now what I'm about to say by pointing out that I don't know the true nature of the football market, but I can see why the agent is asking for 50% of the fee.

People have said that Bannan is a steal at £750k, so in the agent's eyes, his "product" is undervalued. If the agent believes that Bannan is worth, for instance, £2m and if Rovers had had a bid accepted at that price, if he asked for 20% of the fee, he'd be getting £400k. As it stands, he's apparently asking for £375k. Would people balk at a 20% commission, putting aside the obviously absurd level of fees that anyone in football receives?

I've had management and agents in other jobs/industries who've taken 20% commission from my earnings and it's been the standard rate.

I can get onside with people sticking to principles and I think it's admirable for the club to be fighting their corner against agents, but you've got to be realistic about your market, surely? Is Bannan still a steal at £1.1m (transfer fee + agent fee)?

I'd have Pedersen and Osullivan in the middle...them 2 are total @#/? Lowe and marrow.

That just shows your lack of understanding then. O'sullivan is nowhere near ready to be thrown in like that, nowhere near although after a few games it might give people a new scapegoat i suppose ! Pedersen couldn't tackle a stick of candy floss so that's hardly going to work in this division. Rovers were targeted by most oppo in the midfield last season. Granted Lowe and Marrow aint good but your selection just made it worse.

He was our star performer last night against Chorley. He looked a class above everyone else.

An he looked like a lost schoolboy when he came on against Everton. Not saying he isn't a good prospect, he is but i wouldn't throw him straight into a starting midfield place in the muck and bullets of the Championship.

If you think that, then you are a fool.

He stood out for me against Everton. Gave us everything at lacked, energy, willingness to get box to box and composure on the ball. Form what iv seen already I'd say he gives us a better option than sticking Lowe and marrow together. I know he's young but I think he's a confident lad and he could make the step up

Rather unnecessary?

We all see different things in different players. Some see some worth in Lowe and Pedersen while some don't. Its one of the good things about the game, it polarises opinions

To say he looked like a lost schoolboy is a foolish statement and shows a real lack of understanding of the game.

I have seen a lot of folk say he came on and played well against Everton. Honestly - I don't remember him making much of an impact? Not enough for me to particularly take note of him anyway.

Did I miss something?

Only in your opinion. I am sure people can see different things and retain an understanding of the game. Unless you are alone in your indepth understanding? ;)

Anyhow..........Is Spurr 26? Spent most of his career in league one......anyone notice a theme?

Top left back at this level.

Good signing if we get him!

On O'Sullivan how can you not remember when he charged back half of the pitch, took the ball off their player in the box then took it back up the pitch and set up an attack?

It was the definition of box to box!

I saw that he was full of energy, but it also was at a different time in the match where we had a higher pressure than the first half.
