Rovers are linked to Dundee United speedy winger Gary Mackay-Steven......exciting player

I thought we defended badly but the defenders on that clip ... wow.

Player looks good but I remember watching the Nonda and Villanueva clips !

Saw a player called Anthony Modeste scoring a couple for Hoffenheim last night. Maybe we could get him. Oh hang on a minute though..............

Havent saw him play this season, very skillful player, does showboat a bit but alway creates chances (knows when to pass)

only downside is hes a bit to lightwight imo

Buy him and put Judge behind Rhodes, Judge can work the channels, im sure he will score some goals from that position.

And what about the other 30 players that won't play? What do we do with them? This season we just needed to address a few key areas, ie left back which we did with Spurr. Also central midfield both In attack and defence and a left winger, and maybe a striker. At most about 5 to 6 decent signings would have done the business, so why have we almost signed another squad?

Because they never expected so have so many rotten apples to get rid of...expect the departures to flow freely!

Looks to have tremendous ability. We'll soon knock that out of him at Ewood and Brockhall.

Bit harsh that TJ. After being released by Orient, his 30 seconds as a sub at Aberdeen iirc, never playing for Rovers (but there was "that" tackle in training) and now his sub appearance for Exeter, it's clear that this guy is a late developer who well deserves his chance in Italy.

By the way what does that Cat & Fiddle reference in the article mean?

When you think about it rite now the way pur club is, the whole situation is much more stable than it was then under keane althot venkys are just a destruction button away

What some of players that been at rovers:

Anthony Modeste, top striker for Hoffenheim in Bundesliga, struggled to get in to Rovers team.

Karim Rekik, central defender for PSV against AC Milan, couldn't get in to Rovers team last season.

Tom Hitcock, rovers reject, scored Winner for QPR in Championship...

Not a cat in hells chance he'll come here just spoke to a fan of the Arabs/tangerines and every man and his dog are looking at him so YET would he come to our circus

Everyone's been looking at him and Johnny Russell for years. H'field came close to signing the two of them last year, but Russell is now at Derby and if we offer Mackay-Steven a bit more money than other teams, he's likely to come to us.

Karim Rekik playing for PSV against Milan at centre back

Couldn't believe it was the same guy he looked good tonight and bleedin awful for us. Maybe his attitude was bad when he was here but he certainly isn't a left back, just shows what a crap manager Appleton really was. He was probably just doing some mate a favour anyway. As for Modeste well it looks like someone actually delivered Kean a decent striker there but the goon true to form didn't have a clue what to do with him :(

I rememba in one game keane play modeste off the wing

Yep and he had a habit of throwing him on up front on his own when we were chasing games. He did look clumsy but give him chances he can obviously finish.

I made the point last season that according to those familiar with his game Rekik is a right footed centre half who for some unknown reason was made to play at left back by Appleton for us.

why would the Dundee utd chap come here after what happened to goodwillie? He's probably had a word in mckay-steven's ear about the perils of joining this circus
