briansol Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 Agree with people on Wilbraham. Can't see what he will bring to the table, must be far better options out there.

arbitro Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 Agree with people on Wilbraham. Can't see what he will bring to the table, must be far better options out there. I'm not over enamoured with him either but if we can get shut of Best and he will replace him I think it will represent decent business. On his own though I wouldn't have him.
AJW Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 Agree with people on Wilbraham. Can't see what he will bring to the table, must be far better options out there. Cameron Jerome ?
G Somerset Rover Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 One of my best mates is a Palace fan so been to a few games with him. For those that haven't seen much of him, believe me when I say as others have that Wilbraham is absolute horse @#/?. A lump of a centre forward, he makes Jason Roberts' finishing look like Pele's. For the love of God please no. Even as a loan. Palace fans all find it hillarious that he was conning a living in the Championship.
Pelio Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 If you loan a player then try and sign him straight away the selling club is going to vastly increase his price I guess if he's a roaring success over the next 6 months, the price will be increased anyway.... Even if we could agree a price in principle, with a view to signing him in January, it would help...
rickard Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 ROFL. They've given us until 10 to respond? Like they're doing us as a favour? Tomorrow's chip paper. It's like when Barcelona tried to buy Fabregas and told the world "we want to buy him, but we don't want to pay more than xx million, Arsenal have to lower their asking price."...
den Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 It's like when Barcelona tried to buy Fabregas and told the world "we want to buy him, but we don't want to pay more than xx million, Arsenal have to lower their asking price."... Rangers said that to us for Colin Hendry - and we did.
Amo Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 Granted, I have not seen much of Wilbraham, but one glance at his goalscoring record tells a sorry story. Less than 100 goals in a 15 year career makes Jason Roberts look almost prolific.

sharpysharps Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 sounds like no meaningful outgoings today...so even if we did bring in this donkey, he would be 4th choice behind Rhode,s Best and Campbell (when fit) Pretty pointless signing.
saxo1man30 Posted September 2, 2013 Author Posted September 2, 2013 if wibraham is bowyer`s choice and he feels he can do a job for us short term, then i`m happy to trust our manager. shefki kuqi was a donkey, but did a good job for us(ala dickov also), nobody can say he was a bad signing..
booth Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 Not that I think Wilbraham is the answer, but we aren't looking for a goalscorer, we're looking for a target man to assist Rhodes. Newell wasn't prolific but he was perfect for Speedie/Shearer.
Butty Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 Odemwingie apparently having a medical at Cardiff. Could open up a loan move for Maynard which would be brilliant for us.
RevidgeBlue Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 It's like when Barcelona tried to buy Fabregas and told the world "we want to buy him, but we don't want to pay more than xx million, Arsenal have to lower their asking price."... And did they, or did Barcelona end up having to pay more? I can't remember how that panned out. Wigan telling us we have until 10a.m. to sell them our best player is a bit like West Ham telling Arsenal or Tottenham they have 12 hours to sell them Van Persie (before he left) or Bale etc.
Muddboy Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 Orr about to leave on loan – according to Andy Cryer on the BBC transfer feed. In the process of finalising a move to an unnamed club. Hope they're a big club and are paying all of his wages.
T.J.Newton Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 I think as we are playing so well in the current system/formation with 1 up top, we're looking for a back up striker that will accept that he will be on the bench most of the time unless Rhodes gets injured(which is rare) So somebody like this Wilbraham is more likely(and we have DJ when he's fit)

The way Cryer has spoke about him recently I wouldn't be surprised if he was heading to Bristol City
Hekla Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 Maynard now yes please. Would be a great option at this level.
Mercer Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 Alan Nixon @reluctantnicko Protected account 9m Blackpool talking to Blackburn's Bradley Orr about a heavily-sponsored loan deal ...
G Somerset Rover Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 Alan Nixon @reluctantnicko Protected account 9m Blackpool talking to Blackburn's Bradley Orr about a heavily-sponsored loan deal ... Bloody hell. How many years did we give this tosser? Feels like he'll never permanently leave.
RevidgeBlue Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 Alan Nixon @reluctantnicko Protected account 9m Blackpool talking to Blackburn's Bradley Orr about a heavily-sponsored loan deal ... Please let that be true........ although who the hell would want to pay to sponsor Orr's arrival? With the best will in the world he's hardly a glamour signing is he? Perhaps Nike or Adidas are all over it. LOL.

Suspect what Nicko means is that Rovers are paying the bulk of his alleged £17,000 per week. Oyston is a real tight .......................... Gets Orr out of the club for the season, which is good, but financially, still a huge burden.

See what you mean, it would get Orr out of the Club completely though because apart from nicko everyone else seems to think he is under contract until the end of this sesson.

Think Nicko is correct in that 3 years to go. If he wasn't, would have been paid off by now. Allegedly, he wants payment for his contract in full - no surprises there.
