As a person who has suffered from the same illness I find your comment distasteful in the extreme. Think before you post what you think are funny comments about other person's disabilities. You might get it yourself one day, and I can assure you you will not be laughing then.

Sorry, but this is news to me, What disability does Darren Fletcher have?

  • Leicester defender Wes Morgan, 29, could return to Nottingham Forest in a £1.5m deal.

Surely we should be all over that? He's got to be one of the divisions best CBs, why would Leicester be willing to let him go?

It does come from The Sun but still.

if givet stays, we already have the best 3 central defenders at this level imo. would be good to have one more in that position, but i don`t see it as a priority if we are being cautious financially. buying versatile players might be the way to go, to cover numerous positions. i`m sure sam said he had that in mind himself before he was fired off, smaller squad with players that can cover numerous roles.

I agree. I live with someone who suffers from Ulcerative Colitis, and believe me it is no laughing matter. I think Steve Redgrave has it as well as Lewis Moody. It is a lifelong illness and I sincerely hope people think things through before posting such horrible stuff.

If Bowyer wants to move to more of a 4-3-3 formation that he tried last season then Gallagher gives us more options than our other squad strikers. He can play on the flanks or in a more attacking midfield/second striker role. Rochina gives us this too (probably why Bowyer wants him) but Goodwillie and Gomes are pretty much locked into a single position.

Obviously it only makes sense if one of the other squad members leaves, but I can definitely see the benefit of getting him in and shipping Gomes/Goodwillie out. He's been roughly a 1 in 4 scorer at this level, far better than Goodwillie has managed and Gomes is over the hill now.

He would give Bowyer more flexibility to change shape with having Gallagher on the bench. We didn't have this last season at all.

Think Bowyer will play 4-4-2 and 4-3-3/4-51 this season coming.

Think Gallagher is a decent signing but going to be nothing more than a squad player. but has a lot of experience of the championship and give u forward options

Reckon Goodwillie and Gomes will be gone before start of the season

don't see the point of sign another Centre back when we got 3 experience CB's in Hanley, Dann and Givet(if he stays) plus 2 or 3 good youngsters Centre backs in Edwards, O'Connor and O'Connell. plus isn't Evatt coming in on trial for pre season?

looking like Leicester City are looking to cut wage bill so could be why they are selling him if they dont

Do we really not know who is about to sign? Got an impression it wasn't Gally. Where is Kamy?? Perch would be very good but he should find a club from PL.

a lot of people on twitter, some with good sources usual say its Perch. he is Utility player whlist Gallagher isn't.

But very pleased that Rovers are doing their transfer business in private and not going public with bids or names like under previous managers at Rovers.

Had to look it up myself, sounds awful

whoooo! that's a nasty little @#/? of a disease.

As for Gallagher, he had chance after chance(after chance...) when he was last here and you can probably count his good games on one hand, looking at the team as it is, id say we simply don't even need him and if attacking players are sold id only look at him as a last resort.

Givet is off, we're gonna have to bring in some money somehow and I'd rather Dann went than Rhodes. The price quoted would be less than half of what we'd most likely get for Dann which would free up cash for wages, to pay people off or bring in 1 or 2 more.

why are we gonna have to bring some cash in? who says? i think you just want dann out, simple as that. can`t forgive, can`t forget..

Givet(along with the halve decent Olsson) has been gone for about 18months(mentally anyway), I pretty sure Givets contract ends this summer and I think its safe to say there's no chance he would sign a new one(and I don't think he deserves one), Olsson has no interest in being as soon as the 1st reasonable/realistic offer comes in he should be sent packing(and he's another that wont be missed by me), Id really like to see a commanding(physically and leadership wise) experienced centre back come in to play alongside either dann or hanley.

Because our financial situation will most likely to deteriorate badly next year if we don't go up. Getting rid of players like Murphy, Etuhu or Pedersen (blah blah scapegoat blah) would be very useful before then.

I'm not convinced that a Dann and Hanley partnership is good enough in the air in this league. I'm half tempted to go on Rovers Player and look again at every goal we conceded. A load seemed to come from not clearing the ball properly when it was in the air. Givet and Hanley would probably be alright as a partnership because Givet is top quality. Getting imo, one of the best CBs in this league for half the price of arguably our 3rd best would be good business for me.

Morgan is not just a commanding CB, he has more about him than that and is a leader as well.

If we don't go up, we would have to sell (if they haven't already left) Rhodes, Dann, Hanley and Martin Olsson. Our only real "big" money assets. Players like Kean and Henley have lots of potential but I couldn't see us getting more than 2 million for them, if that.

That money would be used to offset the losses in parachute payments and probably further decreases in season ticket sales. (Tbh, I can see at least 2 of them players leaving this summer anyway). But we would be also left with some high earners. It wasn't all or nothing last season. We would be getting the same amount of parachute payments this season. But the chances of us going up soon will decrease significantly if we don't go up this year.

Getting rid of 1 or 2 of them now could prove to be a wise choice. Or instead use the extra money to bring in a creative centre midfielder.

Heard theres a couple of french teams sniffing around, so if they pick up his wages he will go on a free.

Cant say im enthralled by Gally. He's not good enough, Gally is too slow to play on the wing, and not physically strong enough to play up top. Ive never seen anything in his game to suggest he's good or creative enough to play in a SS role either. Id sooner go back for CKR than him.

Our policy seems to be bring players in cheap, you wont win promotion by doing that.

What's the general view on Karl Henry? Been made available for transfer and I'm pretty sure I read that he grew up as a rovers fan. Could be a good option if we don't go for Jones. Might be one of those players who just needs a move to kick start his career again.

Monaco

Heard Evian TG were still interested.

Awful, on par with Keef.

Nah, Henry is not good enough, awful on the ball, and hated by even Wolves fans. We should avoid raiding a squad like that.

Jones and Perch would be solid additions, Gallagher not so much.

100% agree with this...the wolves players are rotten! I don't want a single one of them!

I want our two signings to be Jones and Perch too
