i doubt Perch is on stupid money... for Newcastle he wont be, if he comes to us, then maybe we would have to pay stupid money.

That's what i meant in a cack-handed way. Anyone coming down from the prem, who has featured regularly, will be on more than Rovers can afford to pay.

Vogel was an odd one. He seemed to have the ability to be a pretty decent player, but never played, and went stale/crap. Berner was just evidence that Hughes is a bit hit and miss when it comes to bringing through youngsters at best. He was never going to be 1st choice, and yet he still came in ahead of say, McEverley who looked fairly promising at that stage.

Good signing! After a slow start, I was really impressed with Kane. GB is building a really good young team. I expect Henley to play left back and Kane right back - that will be two excellent full backs bombing forward.

A back four of: Kean, Kane, Hanley, Dann (if he stays), Henley. That is an excellent back line full of youth.

Happy days!! Really wanted this to happen, not just for a few months either, more stability knowin he will be there for the season! Excellent...the defence seems to be almost complete now! Midfield needs a bit of work..get to work on that next Gary..

IN GB WE TRUST!! :rover:

I think if we get our central midfield sorted, and manage to keep Rhodes we could be pleasantly surprised. It is nice to have a genuinely optimistic feeling for once, and not have to talk yourself into it. Cue Rhodes being sold on deadline day and replaced by Bothroyd............

So after all the speculation, kane is the utility man we've been after? (It should have been obvious now you think about it!)

Good to have him back.

I think the utility player is still the Swiss lad. It was mentioned yesterday Bowyer was hoping for two imminent signings. Kane just plays rb while veseli was described in that united article as a utility player

Still think we lack a pacy winger. We obviously need another central midfielder (hopefully Jones). That would leave us with Jones, Lowe, Williamson, Etuhu and mystery utility man as the CM options.

Wide options = King, Marcus Olsson, Judge, Taylor, Nunes.

GB has said he sees Nunes as a game changer so can see him having a more prominent role last year. Liked the look of him when he played but seemed to diasappear off the face of the earth with all the managerial changes. I expect pedersen, murphy, rosado and other useless portugese players to leave.

Attacking options = Best, Rhodes, Rochina, Dunn. Expect Gomes and Goodwillie to leave. Also expect a young, relatively cheap striker to arrive, someone like Wells.
