I never come on here and pretend to know things but I know the following to be true, as it something that I have been told from someone who works within the club (coaching staff, of first team squad).

Bowyer does not rate Scott Dann whatsoever and is looking to get rid ASAP. He has already decided that Hanley and Osullivan will be his centre back pairing this coming season.

Secondly, Venkys London ltd made a profit of £1.75 million this year, so talk of debt from BRAG is absolute bull @#/?. They have been pumping in millions a month and are definitely willing to continue to do so until promotion is secured.

They have made horrendous decisions, but believe me there trying to rectify these.

Thirdly Mr Singh will be given a new role within the club, if he is not happy with the new role then he's out.

They won't have made a profit of £1.75 million. If they pumped millions in to cover losses, how would they get a profit?

Firstly, Dann being sold wouldn't shock me tbh. He good at this level and played very well last season but still makes mistakes. We got 2 or 3 good young centre backs at the club in Edwards, O'Connor and O'Connell

Secondly, Rovers Finances I don't have a clue on. have to wait for End of the year financial report being on companies house website.

Thirdly, Hopefully Shebby doesn't like new role and will be gone. imagine this new role with be Indian Rovers Academy

It may be o'connor or o'connell then mate. Defo one of the O's. dann will be gone soon. Bowyer does not see him as the leader that he wants and thinks his game hasn't progressed as it should have.

Can see O'Connell and Edwards being part of the first team squad this season. Will Givet be staying or does he still want to leave???

who will be captain this coming season? Givet if he stays? Hanley? any other choices for people?

IMO it really is far too simplistic to have the view that, premiership players are all money grabbing, and lazy- and that this is where we failed last summer . We obviously signed some bad eggs. Similarly it's too simplistic to say all league 1 players are work horses, and hungry to prove themselves . Our transfer policy should focus on the character of player and there ability end of. Whether that be Premier league, league 1, MLS. There are gems to be found from all over the world , in an array of different leagues. It's just Mr Bowyers job to pick the right ones! Let's hope he's getting it right!

Bloody hell come on mate, there is ways and means of making profits. They have also considered the idea of sponsoring the stadium to the tune of £25 million to get around the financial fair play rule

Bowyer firmly believes in the youth policy and does not rate Dann whatsoever, he sees other areas being of more importance, in terms of using his budget.

Givet will be gone, literally all the high earners will be gone if they can manage to offload them.

Lastly, last season, the players literally were not performing for Berg and Appleton because literally the whole squad was extremely unhappy, the players love working for Bowyer and will give their all, no matter what. In fact at one point Dunn and Murphy came to blows on the training ground.

Bowyer does and he been involved in the Youth players for past 10 years so that doesn't bother me.

Alot of the players have work for Bowyer whether he was Academy team manager or reserves manager.

I heard Dunn and Murphy doesn't get on.

adsfortheblues, have you heard anything about what problems Rhodes has got?

Like D Murphy, Best and Etuhu. The evidence is there that this doesn't work.

How are we bringing in 'cheap' players from league 1? Taylor had a great season with Millwall, was out of contract, hence he was free. Will be a very good signing. Judge was allso out of contract, hence he was free, and was voted 2nd best player in League 1. I'd describe them as excellent value, rather than 'cheap'. The goalie from Pompey will be 3rd choice, and is free. Luke Murphy is wanted by other Championship teams and is regarded by crewe fans as just as good as Westwood, who had a good season in the Prem. Murphy has only a year left on his contract so £1m is hardly 'cheap'. it doesn't matter where they come from, it's how they play when they get here.

Forest are after Patterson from Walsall. I don't think he even made into the League 1 team of the year. I trust Billy Davies knows what he's doing though.[/]

Happy to see us sign players on a player by player basis. There is a common theme in our signings though, surely you must agree, Judge = free, Taylor = Free, goalie = free, their value will only be determined by their quality on the field. Im not in a position to know if they good enough yet, but what im trying to say is, its a gamble, Id sooner mitigate that gamble on signing 2 or 3 proven ex premier league players (but it is getting the right ones). If it works out then great, but if not then it will be yet more players stuck on contracts who we cannot get shut of. We are in a position of having a bigger budget than most other clubs in this league, we should be using that muscle to take as much of the gamble away as possible.

The definition of profit is income minus expenses. Rovers will have about £25 million total revenue last season with the wage bill around £35 million plus a net transfer spend of at least £7 million and at least £8 million in compensation for managers.

Hence a loss of 25 million - £2 million a month. This as you say is being covered by borrowing and so someone is paying the bills. There is still a debt on the accounts to be paid back to the owners in the future. It therefore becomes a trust issue as to the owners intentions(BRAG actually believed at Christmas that Rovers were debt free and its the Trust who are more sceptical about this claim.)

However, if you earned £25 and spent £50, you wouldn't say you made a profit of £1.75 if you borrowed £26.75 to cover the costs.

"Talk of debt from BRAG"?

Pretty sure the study was done by the Trust not the Action Group so I'm not sure where that comes from.

Do you REALLY think that BRFC is not losing money? Any "profit" by VLL is absolutely irrelevant and I'm very happy to believe the Trust's calculations than Venkys accountants.

Remember according to Starbucks accountants they haven't made ANY profit at all in the UK. Their staff must be on Premier League wages!

Is that aimed at my judge post yesterday?

Er... probably.

:)

Apologies to BRAG. I stand corrected mate.

Secondly I totally get where you are coming from in terms of finance. However it shows that Venkys are willing to pump in 'their own money'. Don't get me wrong I'm no supporter of them, but they do want to make this a success.

You're spot on there mate. What I'm trying to get at is, as said before, the talk of debt is rubbish, they ARE willing to pump in their own money and make this a success.

In regards to Rhodes it hit or bust, we go up this season or he's off, which is pretty much what we would all expect anyhow. If a prem club comes in, it's still unlikely that he would leave, reason being is rovers WILL offer him more money to stay and no Prem club would be willing to pay the amounts rovers are willing to pay. And Venkys are scared shitless of the thought of him leaving, because they fear a backlash from fans, they did not like the reaction after selling Samba and don't want it again.

Something else I was talking about as well, was Burnley. Apparently they are not willing to offer any player over 5k per week, therefore they will be severely limited on player choice this summer. They offered Patterson 4k per week, Huddersfield offered the same but with a huge signing on fee.

Also in terms of Luke Murphy, I know Leeds have made a bid, but I wouldn't worry to much about that, the Rovers deal is almost done and dusted. Leeds don't have the financial power that rovers have and Mcphilllips is a massive influence in this transfer.

Like I said pal, I am not trying to come on here and think I know it all (for attention). But I'm no Alan Nixon, making up stories. I place my beliefs and opinions on facts. I truly believe the things I've said to be 110% true.

So you actually believe that Venkys are shoving 1 or 2 million quid a month into Rovers bank account to cover the regular losses and keep the overdraft from going into the tens of millions ??? Fair play to you then.......

I don't believe, I know.

Problem is, its people like yourself who believe the bullshit that you are fed from the trust.

By the way, before you think I'm having a go, I'm not.

No i don't have anything to do with the trust i prefer to remain impartial for now. You say you know so i'll say how exactly ? Unless you work for Rovers accounts dept or accountants then you're like everbody else going off what you believe to be going on and what you hear from a few trusted sources. Does anyone really know, hell do Venkys even know ?

The Football League ‏@FBL72 5h

Luke Murphy is set to join Leeds and reject moves to Blackburn and Wolves after the Yorkshire club agreed a fee with Crewe.

Saw this, don't know how legit it is. It was on LeedsMad forum.

I saw this on twitter 5 hours ago. the twitter account isnt the official Football league account but someone view.

Seen people on twitter saying he will join Rovers instead of Leeds and some saying he will reject Rovers and sign for Leeds..

Personally think Rovers will sign Luke Murphy. Can Leeds afford the transfer fee cos last week McDermott was saying he got to sell first before buying.

plus McPhilips knows Murphy so hopefully this will help us in this signing hopefully

Murphy may think twice joining us as there is a lot of heavy earners playing same positions. Another Murphy, MGP, Etuhu and maybe even Dunn are all there and I find hard to get rid even one of them. Dunn of course stays. Williamson will get a lot of starts and Lowe maybe too. Easy to see Murphy thinking twice.
