Some people are saying he is having a medical at Leeds but a certain Mirror journo replied a "game is being played" when asked about Murphy.

To lose Murphy to Leeds will be a disaster and will show how far Rovers' reputation has fallen.

Jones is a journeyman at best and a lower Championship club is his level (which, unfortunately, we now are).

Most clubs, other than the desperados, can play a canny game in the transfer market - we can't, we have no one with that nous.

I think we are financially close to breaking point and that is why, IMO, you will see an exodus of the better players led by Rhodes, Olsson1, Hanley and Dann.

in all honesty, i would actually prefer Jones than L Murphy. Jones at least has played in the PL and the championship, so he knows what it takes at this level. Murphy would have been a good signing, but if the lad wants to go to Leeds because of more money, then good luck to him. We dont need anymore time wasters right now. You either want to be here for footballing reasons, or you go someweher else where somebody might offer you more money. Im confident we will end above Leeds this season anyway.

wont be a disaster, dont be such a drama queen Mercer. Our rep has fallen yes, BUT it doesnt make us less attractive than Leeds right now. If you are a player, you choose a club based on something, and if that something is money more than anything else, then its your decision and you go there. Its a sign of the times, when money plays a big factor in determining where a player goes, and to a degree, it shows how football has gone down the drain, when its not about the game anymore.

What evidence is there that Hanley and Rhodes are going?? Hanley just signed a 5yr contract and The club have stated that Rhodes is Not For Sale at every junctiour!

More to the point anyone who believes that Dann and Ollsen are our better players needs their head testing...being a good player is based on what you bring to a team not how much someone once payed for you or your perceived reputation! I say perceived because Scott Dann is a middle of the road Championship CB..there are dozens around as good as him!

Furthermore why is it such a problem that we are not prepared to pay over the odds for a league one player? Why does it mean we're in financial meltdown? Due you think Dunny and today's target Dunne would be on a pittance?

We appear to be paying what we believe is right and I have no issue with this!

The negativity is unreal!

Can't match Leeds wage offer. I'm guted, hes a quality player!

let me say this Makey.. im a quality player in say my 3rd team, but when i step up to our super league team, i do okay, but there are so many of my team mates who make me look average, as technically they just better than me. in saying that, i am a Goal Keeper lol, so they will be better than me. League 1 he may be quality, but, can he step up to a level, where there may be better quality than him, who will give him the run around and make him look average. Like people are saying, he may turn out excellent, or he may turn out to be a flop, but there is no need to lose sleep over this one

If Murphy has chosen Leeds over Rovers, it would be foolish to think it was all down to money.

Murphy is supposed to be a level headed lad who will have listened to advice from all quarters including staff at Crewe.

It is difficult not to be negative but for these types of players, we are hamstrung in that, IMO, our credibility as a football club is in tatters and we are also in financial queer street owing to the £millions squandered over the last couple of years or so.

Like it or not, I think our market is now the lower end of the freebie range as evidenced by the signings of Eastwood, Judge, Taylor etc.

We are now facing the consequences of over, IMO, 2 years idiocy at Ewood and in Pune.

IF he has gone to Leeds it is ALL about money.

He will listen to his agent/adviser, if Leeds are offering a better overall financial package then he will be advised to join them. Both Leeds and Rovers are in the same division so it comes down to the finances.

On Friday we offered him a better standard of football and better financial package than Wolves so he was set to sign for us, now Leeds are offering him a better package than us so they are in pole position, if Rovers suddenly turnaround and increase the financial package then no doubt we will be his preferred destination.

i have to agree with this Kamy. If Leeds had not come in with a better financial package, then he would no doubt have signed for us(mind, he has not sign for anybody yet)

If the offers are close, and I think they are, then it is not ALL about money.

Leeds have had their difficulties over the years but, IMO, their reputation has not sunk so low as that of Rovers.

Brian McDermott has a very good reputation in the game and also with young players.

With Bowyer, to many outside Blackburn, I would suggest it's a case of Gary who ?

If Rovers, associates, fans and yourself think it is all about money then I think there is incredible naivety about.
