[Archived] possible transfer targets summer 2013

Recommended Posts

Kamy on twitter saying Kilgallon 'reportedly' at Brockhall, Dann interesting Soton, Fulham perhaps showing an interset in Rhodes and DJ a pre-arranged done deal.

What i can't understand is if Kilgallon and Dunne are targets then why were L Murphy's wages a problem? Surely they'd both command, and are currently on, bigger wages than L Murphy at Leeds. Perhaps Murphy wasn't guaranteed first team football at Ewood.

i shouldn't really but seen as it's you:-

Strange that, it's not me being slagged on twitter by another person you've annoyed today on here with your self-righteous doomsday b*ll*x and tedious ITK innuendo. And stop justifying your 'facts' by referring to people giving you 'titbits of info' up and down the country through 'your line of work'. That isn't proof, anyone can say that, it's probably not even true. A bit like your 'Best will never sign', 24hrs before he did.

In summary, bore off.

I think you are proof that evolution can go in reverse - a total imbecile.

just a few things ive seen on twitter today, firstly from glen mullen

Clearing out the waste , GB taking no prisoners ,no restrictions been put on spend on incomings regarding fees , gonna be interesting summer

this is promising, hopefully clearing out the big earners before bringing in paid transfers.

and also this i found earlier from chris flanagan

Understand Rovers had hoped to up their offer for Murphy to compete with what Leeds had offered. But Leeds got him to a hotel last night.

sounds like what we did with scott dann a couple of years back

Says the man calling people morons and imbeciles. I'd question whether that irony is lost on you, but i think you'd just get more confused and angry. Go and have lie down petal and get the 'missus' to mop your brow.

We should be thanking our lucky stars we didn't sign Campbell in January and forgetting about him now. He was rank last season. Not sure about Dunne either, he scores an OG every time I see him pay. Great news about old Murphy though, wonder how much that cost

us.

One donkey leaves another arrives in Campbell ...

If the deal was done months ago (Appleton tenure) nothing we can do about it !

If the remaining fans want to lie down and accept it, then of course, totally agree.

what do you want then??? protest or something? ffs

why not just let Bowyer and co get on with their jobs then. we know that Campbell isn't his signing but he coming in useless we can get out of it.

one player I would like to see Rovers try to sign is Barnsley centre midfielder Jacob Mellis.

very good attacking Midfielder. was at Chelsea as youth player

DJ Campbell scored 10 goals in 17 games for Ipswich last season and then turned up at ours and scored nothing in 7 games. Should we blame Campbell or the tactics under Appleton?

Bowyer may get some use out of him. Even Danny Murphy looked better under Bowyer.

I'd agree. Campbell scores goals at our level, so does Best. What we have to hope for is that nobody comes in with 10 million for Rhodes and Goodwillie continues to improve. We could have a formidable strikeforce by Championship standards.

Campbell's 3 month loan ended on the 12 May and he returned to QPR, Bowyer was caretaker manager at that time, why was he then offered a new deal ?

Appleton had gone ages before had'nt he ?

Apparently we signed him on a pre-contract at the same time as loaning him - effectively making him a permanent transfer.

It's not a bad strikeforce. There is Rochina as well so perhaps get rid of Goodwillie.

Does Bowyer rate him ? can only presume he does.

If i remember rightly Campbell is the work of Derek Shaw. The pre deal was done when he was on loan under Appleton and during Deggsys rogue spell :)

Oh I see Deggsy or Lofty as I call him, thought he might be involved somewhere, does'nt his contract end very soon ?

Maybe DJ will shine next season if he stays fit, but he does'nt come across as the type of character Bowyer would want in the squad.

Hopefully they'll put him out on loan straight away lol hope this isn't the thing Rhodes was unhappy about.

Why not just let JAL voice his opinion.

Because JAL is a WUM, a burnley supporter who chooses to respond to a very selective amount of comments. When asking JAL a question he disappears for a couple of days hoping you have forgotten. Also because I struggle to take someone opinion when he has contradicted himself on a daily basis it is hard to take him seriously.
