Majiball Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 I have. I'm just asking a Question!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh well then Already renewed my season ticket. other people I know have and are looking forward to the season. Perhaps if you asked sensible questions and missed of the FFS, then perhaps you might get a better response. Because JAL is a WUM, a burnley supporter who chooses to respond to a very selective amount of comments. When asking JAL a question he disappears for a couple of days hoping you have forgotten. Also because I struggle to take someone opinion when he has contradicted himself on a daily basis it is hard to take him seriously. JAL's no burnley fan and has been posting on here well before I joined in 2008. Given the content these days and your issues with contradictions I'm surprised you read this MB at all.

To be fair, quite a few find JAL an irritant. I just have him on ignore, which works quite well as he doesn't often get quoted.
Guest Norbert Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 Like I said before, DJ may be better with a new look midfield with the likes of Judge and Taylor. I can't see how we are not on a tight budget despite what Glen Mullan tweeted. There are fair play rules coming soon, and our finances do look all over the place. I do believe Bowyer has the space to be thorough and ruthless with the squad though. Of course, this is assuming that Mercer's new owners are not around. Perhaps they are also big players in UAE football, and like Formica........
whatdial Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 Best news of the day that Danny Murphy has gone. pleased Formica has gone almost aswell is this Bowyer signing? has he been scouting at the Under 20's??? quite surely that Rovers would have scouts over there watching the under 20's world cup. Sow is a Defensive midfielder who is hard working, strong and can tackle. not a midfielder who can play a killer pass tho. Mercerman, think you need to chill out abit. Everyone is entitled to their views. Killgallon would be good signing for this league. He can play Centre Back or Left Back. I see Dunne as Dann replacement if he leaves would I think is likely now. If we can get around 4 Million pounds then sell. Think Martin Olsson will be sold aswell. probably to WHU or Norwich for around 2.5 to 3 million pounds Can't see Fulham offering enough money to sign Rhodes. DJ Campbell signing unsure on but is proven at this level tho. might suit us now if Bowyer adopt a more attacking passing style of football. Pleased that Rovers didn't offer to pay L.Murphy wages more than what they thought he want worth. Then LM played a clever game tbh. didn't want to sign for us or Wolves. think he thought VIlla were coming in for him. But Good luck to him at Leeds. Rovers seems to have a proper wage budget in place now and not willing to spend silly money on players wages. Players I would be looking are Lewis McGugan available on a free, Antonio from Sheff Wednesday as a pacey winger. Why would Antonio leave Wednesday for rovers? Sideways step.
Neil Weaver Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 Oh I see Deggsy or Lofty as I call him Spotters badge for that one WY Rover.......
West Yorks Rover Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Spotters badge for that one WY Rover....... I think he was the star of that show, without a doubt.
beanie Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Campbell's 3 month loan ended on the 12 May and he returned to QPR, Bowyer was caretaker manager at that time, why was he then offered a new deal ? Appleton had gone ages before had'nt he ? Does Bowyer rate him ? can only presume he does. He was not brought back as he broke a metatarsal so no point and he signed a pre contract agreement so he's back now.
cesus Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 My understanding at the time of Campbell's loan was we tried to sign him on a perm deal on Jan 31st then we had the paperwork saga. A few weeks later got him on loan and signed the permanent deal with him at the same time to come into effect when his loan deal ended. Don't think I'm a million miles off there with what was said at the time.
The Rover of Finland Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Kamy was writing on Rhodes thread that Bolton is dealing a loan move Sterling. Wow, he will make the difference big time. His ego might be tested as he seems to think being already a big star.
whatdial Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 More money. Have rovers got any money left? Interesting to see who u go for now that murphy has gone to Leeds. He would have been a great signing

Backroom Mike E Posted July 2, 2013 Backroom Posted July 2, 2013 Have rovers got any money left? Interesting to see who u go for now that murphy has gone to Leeds. He would have been a great signing While I'd have loved him here, it's sometimes nice to view a player from a distance without the distraction of 'he must do well for my club'. Nonetheless a bit gutted at missing out on him.

Nonetheless a bit gutted at missing out on him.Nice? Really?Watching a player we wanted to sign turn out for a rival club? Personally I'm hoping he fails badly. A talented box-to-box midfielder is something we are crying out for. There'll be nothing nice about "watching him from a distance"!

I can't help but think it's more down to his stance that things aren't as rosy as some on here believe. I do feel the MB is getting a bit out of control and we all need to be more civil, myself included.

rickard Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 http://www.sportsdirectnews.com/football-league/27383-blackburn-look-to-sign-duo.php Didn't the last South American attacking mid we had also end up in the Arab countries? Carlos Vilanueva if anyone remembers him...

martonrover Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Has Rochina turned up, does anyone know. Don't know but he tweeted something in Spanish about Zaragoza yesterday. Probably still weighing up his 'options' !
Mercer Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 A bit of insight into Luke Murphy's decision: http://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk/sport/leeds-united/latest-whites-news/luke-murphy-i-couldn-t-turn-leeds-united-down-1-5815203
Torgeir Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Can't blame him really. Hope we end up finishing in the top two after beating Leeds in our final game of the season, Luke Murphy missing a pen. Leeds will have to go through the playoffs where Luke misses another deciding pen in the final at Wembley.

Exiled in Toronto Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Think Cloughie once slept in his car outside Archie Gemmill's house to make sure he didn't slip away. Once you've hooked the buggers, you make sure they don't slip away - close the deal fast. Stuff coming out of Leeds' area suggests McDermott did a super selling job on the lad. Still think that this is not all about money especially as Leeds aren't supposed to have any ! Think I'll be proven right when the facts begin to leak. As good a definition of bigging oneself up as I've seen for quite a while!
