Guest Norbert Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 I can agree with you on that. To be honest, I'm not a fan of Yorkshire as a whole, despite my dad's side of the family being from the east coast/North East England.

Exiled in Toronto Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 F'ing hate dirty Leeds. And who didn't back then, but I understand the lad's decision. I can name the Revie Leeds team when I can't even remember our team from that time. We are two clubs fallen on hard times but their good times were better than ours.
Amo Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Win some, lose some. Judge could've easily snubbed us for another Championship side. These things happen, move on.
patrickvalery Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Signed some youngster from Burton Albion - Devarn Green. http://www.burtonalbionfc.co.uk/news/article/greenrelease-890163.aspx
adz4d2 Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 The kid is quicker than Walcott and sterling, worth a punt
AJW Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Goian and Bocanegra free to leave Rangers http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23111175
rovers11 Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 So, DJ and Kilgallon probably on their way to Rovers. I think that's a very good couple of signings. DJ didn't impress when he came on loan last season but he is proven at this level and with the right service will score goals. Our midfield simply didn't create any chances for our strikers last season which makes it even more remarkable Rhodes scored so many goals.

There's no doubt that while Campbell disappointed for us he has been successful at this level. My main problem with signing him is he's not the type we need to partner Rhodes. To me we need a more physical type who can hold the ball up and win it in the air.
AJW Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 who's the Kiko chap then ? think it was ever reliable Unleaded who mentioned him , i'm sure he said he was L/B for Turkey u20's looking at their squad list i cant see a Kiko?

Portugal, plays for Vitoria Setubal. Seems to be described elsewhere as a wide midfielder/winger too.
AJW Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 aahh right .... u20's world cup is in Turkey .. must of mis-read his post

Surely has to be Best and Rhodes as the top 2. Campbell coming off the bench. And, of course, it's a long old season so Rhodes will most likely pick up an injury at some point.
alexanders Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Don't know but he tweeted something in Spanish about Zaragoza yesterday. Probably still weighing up his 'options' ! He wrote: " My loanperiod with Zaragoza finished yesterday. I would thank everyone for the love I've received and wish you/them good luck.
pick32 Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 We should make an ambitious bid for jake Livermore Tottenham want him of the books.
BRFCBOY Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 We should make an ambitious bid for jake Livermore Tottenham want him of the books. the recently capped by england jake livermore ??? why not shelvey, rodwell, whilst were at it think we need a reality check
The Rover of Finland Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 We should make an ambitious bid for jake Livermore Tottenham want him of the books. It´s Spurs. They probably want £5M.
unleaded Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Rovers want to sign Kiko ..A Left back ........................Had him watched in France and In Turkey and waiting for the green light............. Rovers Have Offered a deal to the Egyptian Captain Hossam Ghaly along with Hull.........He has refused a new contract and wants to try Europe once again...... Formica deal done and hes gone and signed a 2 year deal with his new club................. Pools Evatt down at Brockhall trying to prove hes fit and Healthy............................. Devarn Green sounds Impressive...............Look forward to seeing him...... "The 16-year-old, who can be deployed as a winger or striker, is thelatest talented youngster to come through the ranks at the PirelliStadium. Green, blessed with lightning pace, recently set the best-ever Nike SPARQ sprint time of 2.68 seconds;beating the likes of Theo Walcott and Raheem Sterling".....................................
Backroom Tom Posted July 2, 2013 Backroom Posted July 2, 2013 Well this is an interesting subnote on the official page: • Meanwhile, contrary to reports in today's local newspaper, Rovers would like to make it clear that the club did not miss out on the signing of Crewe midfielder Luke Murphy by £2,000 per month. The personal terms agreed with the player were substantially more than the figure quoted. Backroom Tom Posted July 2, 2013 Backroom Posted July 2, 2013 Certainly is a strange thing to appear on the official site, somebody going "rogue" again? Word is Derek Shaw has a personal beef with Mercerman and wanted to prove him wrong Only messing in reality I have no idea what it even means, do we read it as Rovers offered him substantially more or that Leeds did? One way makes us look willing to pay over the odds the other just a bit needy
Backroom Silas Posted July 2, 2013 Backroom Posted July 2, 2013 Why say that though Tom. Seems odd that. Signifies to me that maybe there is some truth in these sale/takeover rumours. The last thing you want when negotiating a price is the buyer seeing that you are cash strapped and then playing hardball. The only other logical reason is to appease the fans, and they have never given a crap about that for 2 years now so can't see anything would have changed on that front.

Anway Goodwillies gone back to DU till January Rovers want to sign Kiko ..A Left back ........................Had him watched in France and In Turkey and waiting for the green light............. Is Hossam Ghaly centre mid? I remember him vaguely playing for Tottenham. I'd imagine Hull would be facourites with their Egyptian owners/players.
Guest Norbert Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Things seem to be picking up on the ins and outs. So far things seem very sensible and level headed, though our midfield is still a bit iffy.

I think its an attempt to say we offers him more but that makes no sense as no deal was agreed surely?
