Thinking about the bit on the website, could somebody be telling the V's that they are negotiating at x amount and are trying to do it for slightly less, no idea what the reason for that would be ,

I presume Del Boy Degsy is doing the negotiations? perhaps he is on a probationary period after his last very very expensive cock up so trying to justify why we didn't get the signing

Perhaps they're simply covering their arses? I suspect it may indeed mean that Murphy moved for footballing reasons. Although it could also read as we lost out because Leeds offered more than 2k over our offer, I'll take the former view.

I think its an attempt to say we offers him more but that makes no sense as no deal was agreed surely?

I think we agreed terms with him then he agreed slightly better terms with Leeds, then they smuggled him into a hotel and he signed before we could match their terms. That's what i interpreted from Chris Flanagans twitter. I might be completely wrong though. I think he just wanted to go to Leeds which is fair enough.

The appendage on the official site still doesn't make any sense though because no figure was quoted in the LT, only that Leeds had offerd £2k more. Maybe Aggers has hacked back into the Rovers website!

Rovers messed up on Murphy deal, it should have been tied up on Friday, we didn't and it gave Leeds the chance, once they got bid accepted, they knew terms Rovers had offered and beat them. After which they had player under almost lock and key so Rovers didn't get the chance to talk him round.

So another great move by our crack team of negotiators then?

Because JAL is a WUM, a burnley supporter who chooses to respond to a very selective amount of comments. When asking JAL a question he disappears for a couple of days hoping you have forgotten. Also because I struggle to take someone opinion when he has contradicted himself on a daily basis it is hard to take him seriously.

Two reasons why I dont reply. One is not to get involved in an argument with the second being that sometimes Ive seen a post later but the thread has moved on to which a reply at that point wouldnt add anything to the thread.

Lets hope it doesn't rebound on us like it did with Roy Keane !

The Football Family @TFootballFamily 9m

Egypt international and Al-Ahly captain Hossam Ghaly has joined Lierse on a one-year deal, the Belgian club confirmed via @King_Fut

Kiko signing will be replacement for Martin Olsson who I think will be gone shortly. probably Norwich. was in today's Daily Mirror

I think Evatt will sign for us in the week or so. Plus Kilgallon and Campbell signing aswell.

Think Dann will be sold. Southampton are interest in him according to Kamy.

Why say that though Tom. Seems odd that.

But it's not that odd really if you think about it. Rovers are known as one thing in football these days a circus. Everyone knows each other or someone knows another and they all like to talk. People are being advised not to join us as things have been a disaster so far. Shebby, Venky's, the image of the fans, Unhappy players, sackings galore and so on and so on, it's not good and people believe it all. Obviously a lot of it is true so is it a good career move? No not really and a few extra grand against your future earnings? Not good and not worth it. So I'm not surprised he went there, disappointed, but not surprised. People say things are better now under Bowyer and that may well be the case, but we're championship now get far less media attention and no one outside of the circle (IE supporters and MB's) know any of this. All they see is a rookie manager (not being disrespectful) and the circus of last season and everything that has happened since these Loons from pune descended.

(aimed at all) Would you leave your job for a company losing money hand over fist, plummeting sales and customers leaving in there droves and performances at an all time low?

No you wouldn't, would you?

Watford have made a brilliant free signing in Lewis Mcgugan, this is the sort of player we should have gone for.

Maybe we did but his wage demands were too high? maybe want too much signing on fee? who knows? just asking questions btw

is he the type of player Bowyer wants tho?

still think Bowyer wants David Jones.

Doesn't really stand up to scrutiny that. We signed loads of players last summer who would have had other offers. We've signed Judge and Taylor already, and Murphy said he'd have signed for Rovers if any other club but Leeds had come in for him. I'm sure there'll be a few more signings yet. Everybody agrees that the club has been run very badly, it doesn't mean no-one wants to play for us, As for advisors (agents),they'll just recommend the best deal for their client.

Do you have an example of someone not wanting to join us because they've been advised not to?
