roversfan99 Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Rochina has more space away from home, and is our out ball, he could be more effective running into that extra space.

West Yorks Rover Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 I think Bowyer will play Rochina in his team. He does like flair players but also like hard working players. Rochina isn't going to play in some away games when we go 4-5-1 to them but will play more games at home when we should be the attacking side. think he will play number 10 role and wide right of 3 man front line with Rhodes and King would get rid of Formica tho. I hope so Chaddy, agree about Formica talented player but too slow and lightweight for this league.
ABBEY Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 If rochina learns how to read the game and look up And pass then we would have one the best players in the division.
West Yorks Rover Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Rochina has more space away from home, and is our out ball, he could be more effective running into that extra space. Plenty did say he would have had a 'field day' away to Sheff Wed. I sat with Leeds fans at Elland Rd they thought he was the best player on the pitch by a mile.
roversfan99 Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Bristol City away, he came on and had a massive impact in all the space that was left on the counter. He was a big part in a win at Peterborough too. Loves driving into space with the ball.
Torgeir Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 If rochina learns how to read the game and look up And pass then we would have one the best players in the division. That's a big IF after years of showing no signs of improving in that aspect.
AJW Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 agree with Abbey ... needs to get his head up , although i think he would prefer to stay in spain , i can see another season long loan there
Salgado Is A Hero Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Plenty did say he would have had a 'field day' away to Sheff Wed. I sat with Leeds fans at Elland Rd they thought he was the best player on the pitch by a mile. I had a quick scan of the H'field board after our away game and they thought the same.
Backroom Tom Posted May 27, 2013 Backroom Posted May 27, 2013 We should go for Aaron Wilbraham - said nobody ever!

Majiball Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 That's a big IF after years of showing no signs of improving in that aspect. Get one of those electric dog collars and zap him everytime he should have passed. he'll learn quickly.
perthblue02 Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 http://www.examiner.co.uk/huddersfield-town-fc/huddersfield-town-news/2013/05/25/86081-33380180/ Huddersfield linked with Rochina. £750K apparently, that wouldn't even pay the agent. Think the "agents" and third parties have already done quite well in his transfer activity so far, academic really because it's to low a bid he's worth 5 to 6 million apparently according to a Barnet spiv . Unfortunately can see him being moved on though as the crime scene cleaning continues
patrickvalery Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Rochina has always had the essentials to be a very very good player. But he has shown little to no improvement in years. Id love to see him pulling the strings in a rovers side playing fluid attacking football. But I just can't see it. If he had a well drilled set of players behind him which allowed him to roam then he could be a danger. But the team is a shambles and that then means he becomes a luxury which is more of a hindrance than a help. As for formica.....worked hard but utterly feckin useless.
Philly13 Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 get lower league players get lower league football FFS . Paul Lambert has proved that wrong twice now I think.
saxo1man30 Posted May 27, 2013 Author Posted May 27, 2013 That's a big IF after years of showing no signs of improving in that aspect. aye, that`s like saying he`d be a good player, if only he were good..
pick32 Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 Kilgalon who has been released from Sunderland will be a good signing at this level if dann leaves.
LeChuck Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 Kilgalon who has been released from Sunderland will be a good signing at this level if dann leaves. He'd be a good signing even if Dann is here. Although you'd suspect Palace and Hull might be interested at the very least.
bellamy11 Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 Bramble has gone too. Would certainly take him. He seems like the kind of player who would take confidence from being one of the main men, rather than trying too hard and losing faith in his own ability whenever he makes mistakes.
Guest Norbert Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 Bramble??!! BRAMBLE???!!! He's absolute toilet. His lapses in concentration are legendary, as is his habit of belting in own goals. He makes Darren Peacock look like Franco Baresi. And that is not mentioning the off the field accusations that have dogged him in recent years.
bellamy11 Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 Accusations aside, I think he's the kind of player who would benefit from being one of the bigger names. He has a lot of top-flight experience now (more than 200 Prem games) and clearly is a confidence player. Right now we are a bottom-half Championship club - getting snobbish will get us nowhere. Look at the defenders in the teams that were at the top this season. You don't have to be Frank Baresi to be part of a good defensive unit here. His lapses have followed him around but it's the kind of thing that definitely gets shown on Match of the Day, and it's the thing people remember. For years, fans of other clubs though MGP was a world-beater because all they saw of him was him banging in spectacular goals for two seasons. We always knew the truth!
Guest Norbert Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 He's crap Bellamy, he's been crap for years. God knows how he managed to play that many games in the Premier League. Can we afford him whacking the ball into the net? Or letting opposition strikers run behind him and having a clear 1-on-1 with the keeper every game? If we're to lose our better players then hiring a liability on pretty big wages would be asking to be relegated.

Ha ha that was like peter Kay and garlic bread, but you are right he is pants.
Lurid Coat Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 He'd be a good signing even if Dann is here. Although you'd suspect Palace and Hull might be interested at the very least. Kilgallon was allegedly constantly on the lash and was believed to be a part of the Sunderland AFC "pub culture". Would steer well clear if said allegations are true.

bellamy11 Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 You need the claretsmad website this ones Blackburn Rovers. Oh really? Hadn't noticed. Is that what the blue and white colour scheme is all about? Blackburn Rovers in 2013 are sadly a completely different football club than the Blackburn Rovers of five years ago, never mind the mid-90s. In yesteryear, Bramble would get nowhere near the squad. Now, at a time where we're short of experienced centre-backs (remembering that Lord only knows what's going on with Givet), he'd probably start. We're still in a transitional period of denial. The rapidity of our downfall means that it's easy to still think of us as a top 10 Prem side, but we are currently far from it. We have to build a side to get out of this league, and then worry about what Premier League teams will do to us when (if) we get there. To that end, I'd re-iterate that Bramble would strengthen the squad. We are no longer in a league where every mistake is punished by a ruthless, international-class striker. Souness brought in players like John Curtis to get us out of this league the last time, then binned him off almost immediately when we got promoted, because he wouldn't be enough in the Prem. We have to do that again.
