Wouldn't be delighted with spearing especially if he cost 3mil. Surely with his wages as well we should be looking to spend our money more wisely.

Fair enough didn't see much of him at Bolton 2nd half of last season but after seeing him a lot for Liverpool i don't rate him at all. Wish we'd have got Murphy.

Spearing is a cracking player at this level, we'd be lucky to get him, compared to the likes of d.murphy he's a godsend. Will link up well with Taylor and judge may even bang in a few if we can land him, some people on her wouldn't no a barn door if it hit em in the face.

Spearing is very underrated actually!...his use of the ball is no worse than Joe Allen but Rodgers paid £15m for him so he doesn't get a sniff!!

If Bowyer can get Spearing from under Boltons noses it would represent an excellent bit of work! Great player at this level, string in the tackle, gives the ball easily and more proven than L.Murphy. I'd go all out for this guy!

Jay Spearing is a right lunatic, but I think he would be a good addition to our squad and the kind of midfielder we need in there.

Certainly not afraid to get stuck in, but can be a little bit too rough at times creating red cards.

Good. That should give us a bit more sturdiness in defence. Rather him than the other exx-Mackem defender Tit Bramble.

Is Kilgallon a CB?

I can also see Scott Dann leaving this summer.

Hugo Fernandez has just signed a new contract with Rovers and if Im not mistaken he has been playing as a CB in the reserves. He is probably about to get in to the first team squad.

Didn't Rovers sign a shirt sponsor deal yesterday? Surely there is £3M to cash to spend for Spearing. Does it close the door for other signings though.

I would imagine it's more like 300 thousand to sponsor a championship teams shirt for a season, especially a club like Rovers have become.

Just been looking at a couple of Bolton forums, plenty of them still think they are getting Rhodes, mainly because they seem to believe

what Nixon has been saying on twitter.

In fact they seem to place great store in Nixon for some reason.

I agree don't get the keogh one at all.

One poster on the Bolton forum seems to think we'd sell Rhodes for the amount we owe Huddersfield (4.5 mill?) because we are desperate. Think they're a bit short on braincells down the A666.

I've wondered about that myself and worried that late on in the window we may just be happy to write off the debt if we can't shift other players

yeah Kilgallon is a centre back.

I can see Dann and Givet leaving aswell. but defo keeping Hanley. plus we have three other young Centre back aswell in O'Connell, Edwards and O'Connor..

Plus I think Evatt is training with Rovers at the minute. would be a decent back up CB.

Or Givet. Or both Dann and Givet. Spearing would be good, but at £3m, and his wages, he may be a bit out of our reach. Perhaps we'll sign Jones full time, and try for a loan from Man Utd or someone.

Andy Keogh, not a world beater unless i'm mistaken.

Certainly not a world class driver anyway, he nearly ran me over driving & talking on his bloody mobile when he was at wolves.

Well i assume it was him, blond kid, vanity plate KE0GH, on a range rover the size of a tank, near the training ground.

For some reason, Wolves still have a 20ft poster of Keogh on the side of the molineux, despite him leaving for millwall some time ago.

Hope we don't sign him anyways.
