Gartside/Davies - doesnt matter to me. There is a perception of BWFC of downsizing, paying back debts and generally finding of a level. This perception doesn't fit paying a couple of million plus £10k a week to a player. It's hard to take, I know - Rovers are going through some similar experiences but Bolton will not be paying for any players this summer regardless of what Nixon is telling you.

This is the last post I will make regarding Bolton. Unlike yourself, you wouldn't catch me discussing football on an opposition's board - therefore I have no reason to carry on discussing the wanky wanderers on here1

No need to be arsey about it. I find that having a couple of oppo fans gives a useful insight into other clubs perceptions of us as well as an insight into whether our perceptions are right about others.

And for the record whiteinpeace is quite knowledgeable and (as his name implies) is very rarely antagonistic as you have just been.

Anybody else wanting bolton to have a crappy season along v burnley and leeds?? Haha i do...add wigan into that too cuza nixon mate coyley...leeds becaUse they seem to be after who we after...rememba matt smith from oldham then luke murphy now this bulgarian and BOlton becUse of Nixon too and the fact their fans think they are bigger than the Blues

The internet is really a touchy place. He made a point, I disagreed. I didn't wish to continue discussing BWFC! If whiteinpeace had any issue with that I am sure he would say.

Now please Mike, if you have something topic related - engage your brain and keyboard. If not please do not waste both our time "antagonising"

Erm....yes. You mean Bolton because they are Bolton, Leeds because they are Leeds and of course Burnley because they are Burnley. No brainer.

Gary Coulibaly strongly linked to us in the French press. I work with a French lad who supports Monaco and in his words, he's a DM who wasn't good enough for Monaco in Ligue 2. Had been expected to go to Sheff Weds, not sure if he had been on loan recently. Article states £3m - note none of this is my judgement - I've never seen or head anything of him.

You missed the bit about Bowyer turning a failing side around twice in the season in extremely difficult circumstances and conducting himself in an extremely professional and methodical manner, not least in his dealings in bringing in and moving out players to the club.

I'm pretty sure I have more faith in Gary Bowyer than I have in the judgments of those who carp all day on long on here in a permanently negative frame of mind about everything and everybody. No guarantees that he'll succeed in the long run, but there never is for anybody.

Think this one will happen. We won't pay £3m for him though. Would have preferred Spearing but looks like we've got this guy.

After the failure of his departure to Sheffield Wednesday, Monaco requesting a transfer fee too large for the English club (about € 3 million), Gary Coulibaly, 27, is about to cross the Channel again, hoping this time ask for good suitcases side Blackburn, a more prestigious club also playing in Championship (English D2).

Under contract until 2016, the midfielder who was not called in training at Seefeld is blocked by competition ASM and hopes to continue his career in England despite interest from French clubs (Evian, Reims) .

Now this bulgarian bloke.....I'm pretty sure that anyone apart from Taibi has a highlights package on youtube. Doesn't Roberts have a 'how to finish' tutorial somewhere?

He may well turn out a good player (as mentioned, I too think Villanueva could've been a success in this league), but we won't know until we see him play in this league. I'll remain wary but if Bowyer wants him, I'll back him until he proves I shouldn't.

I've never seen anything which shows such a complete lack of self-awareness than that video.

It doesn't get better than the opening line of 'Hi, I'm Jason Roberts, and I score goals for living'.

I remember really wanting Carlos to do well for us, he looked a really exciting player but ultimately he was too weak for the English game. Scored a cracking freekick against Grimsby if I remember correctly.

According to Sports Direct News Bowyers' got Patrick Antelmi all but wrapped up.

Is he any good ? can't find him on wiki.

He's the young Aussie lad who played for the reserves last week. He's been brought in more for the development squad apparently

I'm pretty sure he scored with a cracking free-kick against Grimsby in a Carling/Worthington Cup match on his full debut.

Grimsby scored a decent free kick against us, In off the bar, Pineapple head scored a decent effort from outside the area but his free kick came against Blyth Spartans

Ah yes, just been reading about him was at Portsmouth and Leeds, apparently highly regarded, could be anything if

he develops as he should with all our resources at Brockhall.
