Not only that, but those of us who've read too much of his rubbish and are now finally putting him on ignore are finding him quoted by all ans sundry, adding to our sense of frustration, and am I really the only one irritated by that bit that says "you've chosen to ignore ...... View anyway?" If I wanted to view anyway, I wouldn't have him on ignore! And I don't think Jordan's off to Hull any time soon.

the problem I have with the ignore function is that there are some members accounts that are immune to it for some reason(a glitch in the system) so I have to suffer their tedious god awful 'jokes'(and the rest!) and try not to rise to the bs bait.

Oh well.

Looks like we are going to sign Luke Murphy, he could turn out to be our best permanent midfield signing for a long time and I think signings like this will help persuade Rhodes to give us more of his time.

The quoting part is annoying, but I like the "View anyway" function. I like to occasionally check out posts of users I have on ignore in order to see if maybe I was too hasty ignoring them in the first place (I hit the ignore button a lot sooner than most), and once or twice I've actually removed people from my ignore list because of it. Some peoples posts are just not worth bothering with though. If they've been posting crap for the past 10 years, the next post is likely to be crap as well.

You can also play the game of "Predict the post". Is this going to be an incoherent angry rant of at the very most two sentences? Things like that. Usually it's a bit too easy though.

Not us...... Nike. It's got to be their party and their decision I'm sure.

i`ll say it again, they can`t use his image without his permission and i doubt he`d have allowed them to do so if he was scrambling to leave the club asap.

no, that`s not to say he can`t have his head turned if an attrative offer comes in, but right at this moment in time, to me, it suggest he isn`t planning on pushing for an exit.

Say it as many times as you want, the chances are part of his contract includes Rovers being allowed to use him as part of promotional/ marketing campaigns. No chance anyone had to get Rhodes permission for this image, it will all be apart of his contract.

Well rovers used my image and the lads around us for advertising without permission .

Bolton paying £9 million for him. Rhodes actually wanting to go to Bolton. Nicko just made me choke on my cornflakes in laughter. Again.

Dougie Freedman is another mate of Nixon's isn't he? I wouldn't be surprised if Bolton are interested, why wouldn't they be? Are they not up to their eyes in debt though?

I think Rovers will sell if a club offers north of $10m. I reckon that rules the Twotters out by about $6m.

Rhodes will be thinking about a summer move in my view but that will be to the Premiership. Bolton are testing the water I reckon, via a friendly journo.

I'd be surprised if Bolton would pay the type of wages Rhodes would want, whether Rhodes would see it as real progression, or whether Rovers would actually accept £9m.

Alternatively Nicko seems to have strong contacts with Bolton at the moment - nothing better to help sell Season Tickets than a planted story about purchasing somebody like Rhodes :glare:

Even if we are willing to let him go for that sort of money, and even if JR would go to a Championship team, I just can't see Venkys accepting an offer from Bolton without it being a colossal offer.

Just seen Nixon make the argument that it would solve our FFP problems in one swipe. Fine, but surely this would put Bolton in a similarly difficult position.

They owe £120 million to their owner to be paid back between 2-10 years.

They aren't going to bid £9 million for Rhodes.

Nicko is very close to Freedman so I doubt that he would put a flyer story.

Maybe their owner Eddie Davies has decided to fund this personally, he is certainly rich enough to do so.

I don't think that JR would want to move to a championship club, but the worry is that it might encourage certain Premier League clubs to come in for him. Next week will be interested as Rhodes is back for pre-season training, while I don't know what the issues are, a number of people have told me that Rhodes is unhappy about certain things on the playing side, hopefully Bowyer has resolved these issues.

Kamy keep hearing this FFP nonsense - can you clarify :-

1. Didn't think enforced until after this coming season

2. If funded by Eddie Davies, surely would breach any FFP rules ?

IMO there is too many holes in this story.

Rhodes seems like a good sort but I don't think there is any doubt that he will be being advised to seek a move. If that's what he wants then he'll be being further advised to use these "playing issues" to engineer a transfer. I think this latest rumour is a pre cursor to more and more as the summer rolls on, preceded by silence from the player and non committal statements in the press. Then there will be a "breakdown in relationship" and the club will be left with no option but accept his departure.

I'm not having a go at him, he's earned a move and who could blame him for wanting to leave Rovers? It's just that we've been here umpteen times and I think it's naive to expect Rhodes to be a Rovers player next season.

Having said that I'll be disappointed if he goes to somewhere like Hull, totally gutted if he pitches up at Bolton.

That's where I expect he'll end up (a newly promoted side), if he went to Bolton, I think I'd find it difficult to get down Ewood....

I am interviewing someone from the Football League next week hopefully so will be able to give you a proper insight into what FFP means for clubs this season and next.

I really cant see Rhodes going to Bolton.

Think Glen mention before on here that's Rhodes was unhappy about certain things at Rovers. don't think Bowyer is the problem.

is it certain players at the Club? or certain people above Bowyer like Shebby? or Tactics and the way we are playing him?

That's really good, cos most fans don't know what the real rules are under FFP.

I have always liked Nixons contributions BUT todays news headlines made me think the man is delusional.

Bolton ? you are having a giraffe Alan. They owe Millions they haven't got 2 hapennies to rub together cash wise and couldn't even fund an extension to kevin Davies for 1 paltry month to grant him a testimonial.

Its the silly season in the People
