In the last few months yourself, abbey, Saxo and Mercerman have all done this and been back within days

We'll see

I think the quality of posting on this MB has deteriorated sharply over recent weeks.

More and more members I feel are becoming increasingly disillusioned with it.

You might have access to user number traffic but an educated guess would be that in correlation to the standard of posting, the numbers of users and 'guests' have also fallen.

Some of the personal stuff is now imbecilic and it's a great shame as it's spoiling this MB for the vast majority.

I don't disagree that Rovers will have a surplus when it comes to transfer dealings. In fact it would be a shock if we didn't. That is different to saying we have to sell though. Bowyer has said he is under no pressure to sell anyone, however we have a massive squad with some big earners contributing very little. Dann, Robinson, Orr, Murphy, Best, Goodwillie, Etuhu, Rochina, Givet, Formica, Pedersen, Rosado, Olsson x 2 could all be sold this summer. They would bring in £10m+ and would the team be any worse off? Apart from Dann and maybe MGP, none of those players contributed under Bowyer.

Rhodes and Hanley won't be sold unless they want to go. That's a lot different to them going because we can't afford to keep them.

Glad you've finally woken up to the fact that we don't, and never did have, the best squad in the Championship. ;)

My point was that they never played so why keep 'em. Anyway, it's better than Hull's and they went straight up! They had a manager though and happy players ;)

Everybody's depressed because you keep selling our best players and putting the club in administration. Or it could be that it's summer.

Just because more and more members disagree with you doesn't mean it's deteriorated. You just don't like people disagreeing with your doomsday scenarios tongue.png

Don't give a monkey's whether folk agree with me or not.

All members are entitled to an opinion and I respect that.

What irks is the personal stuff - not just with me either.

Some of the stuff written on here generally over recent times has been moronic. Seems like you cannot post much these days without some imbecile sticking their infantile oar in.

Don't think you have understood.

No one is disputing that Rovers have made a bid for Murphy and had it accepted - I think it's potentially a great signing and what we haven't done enough of over the last calamitous 2 years.

What I said was that, IMO, Rovers might well pay fees and make a number of signings but come 31 Aug., I think you will find that transfer fees in will exceed transfer fees out by at least £10million. Personally, I doubt that you will see Olsson1, Rhodes, probably Hanley and possibly Dann in a Rovers' shirt again.

Thought I'd stipulated why I thought Nicko knows so much about Bolton.

So the thoughts of the people in charge were Hanley is for sale so in the meantime we will give him a payrise and a bigger loyalty bonus just so when we sell him we will get less in the long run have a word with yourself. Oh and glad to have you back when the positve news about a bid for the highly rated Murphy were going around you were absent you love bad news don't ya.

Mercerman - for what it's worth I agree with you to an extent about the quality of posting especially in some threads

I'ts shocking ! Should never have got rid of ' National Service ' and if it was up to me I'd bring back ' The Birch ' aswell.

If where we're at is selling our best players to NOTLOB then we are truly f*cked. I'd have been @#/? off if we'd sold Rhodes to Hull FFS.

If Venkys are going to convince me that they are up for it, then Rhodes has to stay, Rovers generally start throwing their weight about in this Division and start sniffing round our rivals top players and midfield gets sorted out.

Not holding my breath.

Agree, but to be fair they did that last summer. They just made the mistake of having novices in the managerial seat. After a year of heavy losses the cupboard was always likely to be bare this time round. But yeah, the way I see it is Rhodes stays, goes for big money and we spend it on 3-4 good players, or we're Keaned.

If he goes to Bolton it's because we either need to shift him for financial reasons or the player himself thinks that Bolton are far more likely to get into the Premier League (his dream) than Rovers. I can't see money being the motivator from his side if he is willing to go there, Bolton might match the wages he is on here but I can't see them paying more.

I will be gutted if he goes to another championship club. Especially a local rival.

I'd be astounded if he went to another Championship club, never mind the wanky wanderers. It could possibly be the worst thing that could happen for him to go to Bolton, on top of all that's happened in the last 2 and a half years.
