chris_h Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 I will be gutted if he goes to another championship club. Especially a local rival. Absolutely. I'm resigned to him going but to go to Bolton would be too much to take.

Baz Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 Bolton are signing Beckford. Doubt theyll also come in for Rhodes.
chris_h Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 Bolton are signing Beckford. Doubt theyll also come in for Rhodes. Hope you are right but odds off 1/2 suggest that a bookie has had some inside info.
Kamy100 Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 Bolton are focussing on trying to get Raheem Sterling in on loan at the moment, after signing Beckford.
bob fleming Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 Odds down to 1\2 now for Rhodes to sign for Notlob What betting site is that from please?
chaddyrovers Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 Bolton are focussing on trying to get Raheem Sterling in on loan at the moment, after signing Beckford. I read that on twitter tonight. Kamy, has they been any bids for Rhodes so far? has Rhodes ask for a transfer yet? and Has Bowyer met Rhodes to convince him to stay here and sort out his problems he had a couple of weeks ago What betting site is that from please? http://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/jordan-rhodes/club-after-summer-transfer-window its one betting company. Betvictor.
Gally Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 Hope you are right but odds off 1/2 suggest that a bookie has had some inside info. Or that several Bolton fans were overly confident following Nicko's tip. Our manager sagas this year have shown that it doesn't take a fortune on a small market to drastically shift the odds.

Betvictor. Rhodes only returned to training this week, so I suspect that Bowyer will sit down with him over the next few days. I am not overly worried about Bolton, but I am worried about Fulham. A very reliable contact at Fulham has told me that Jol is a big fan of Rhodes and could well come in for him.
West Yorks Rover Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 If he was allowed to go to Bolton S/T sales would be lowest for 30 years. If he goes to Fulham I would take Duffers in part exchange.

That is a worry, especially as there are rumours that Berbatov wants away.
Rover_Shaun Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 Can we just disconnect the phones for two months and lock Rhodes away in solitary?
Salgado Is A Hero Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 Yea I'm only really worried about Fulham and Newcastle. Mainly Fulham. Rodallega and Berbatov are the only two strikers they have now I think after Petric leaving. Bryan Ruiz - 10.6, Andy Johnson - 10.5....they can spend money when they want to. Rhodes wouldn't be their highest earner either with players like Berbatov and Hangeland, who is always seemingly signing a new contract.
Guest Norbert Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 Probably just people getting excited over a Twitter story. Fulham may have a go, but maybe we should say 'no', but there's another striker nearby who is probably just as good............
gumboots Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 If he goes to Fulham we might not like it but can't begrudge him the move to the prem, but Bolton! That's a different kettle of fish

Rhodes people would probably ask for an extra 10-15k per wk to live in London I would imagine and would he be first choice player ?

Or Bolton might chance their arm with Austin seeing as Forest allegedly tried with a £4m bid? As we know it doesn't take much for the heathens up in t'hills to foam at the mouth, Austin being snapped up by Wigan to join up with Coyle could have hilarious consequences.
Guest Norbert Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 Austin may be slightly cheaper in fees and wages. And he's not bad at scoring goals. Do Bolton have that kind of ready cash though?
Waggy76 Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 I see it this way , if Rhodes goes, Campbell is his replacement ,That deal is already done ! Very worriying !

chaddyrovers Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 Gary Bowyer has just said on BBC Radio Lancashire that's Rhodes is very happy at Rovers and not for sale. Also said he had a chat with him aswell. so maybe any problems they might have been have been sorted.
