gumboots Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 Ask yourself. Without Rhodes who is going to score the goals? Answer: Erm! Where are we signing him from and more importantly is he any good?

pick32 Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 Are squad is better than what hull and reading went up with.
ABBEY Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 Are squad is better than what hull and reading went up with. hahahahaha aw reet then .
DavidMailsTightPerm Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 hahahahaha aw reet then . Hull were one of the poorest teams I watched at Ewood - but still went up ! I think last season showed that virtually any team can go up.
DavidMailsTightPerm Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 exactly , there squad proved to be stronger. Yes - because the table doesn't lie - but a team with players with a point to prove and hunger for the battle. Exactly the type of player that Bowyer seems to be bringing in.

thenodrog Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 You're spot on. I'll stick my neck out and say we quite literally could finish anywhere between 1st and 24th. Inclusive.
yoda Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 Ask yourself. Without Rhodes who is going to score the goals? Answer: Erm! is that Slim Shady's bother
broadsword Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 Last season showed just how vital conditioning is. Can make all the difference in tight games. Since that lip-licking @#/?-eating reptillian two-faced mendacious scum-sucking money-grubbing slimeball @#/? Kean started here as manager, we've let in so many late late goals. I think the interesting thing next season will be to see if a pre-season of beasting can bring these players up to scratch. I'm slightly dubious at the moment on that, and also on the players we've brought in. It's all a bit of an unknown quantity at the minute, so in times of doubt, be a miserable pessimist. Lower mid-table methinks.
Clitherover Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 Heard on the radio this morning that Bolton had made a £12M bid for Rhodes which we rejected, as it was on TalkSport I took the news with a massive pinch of salt.

Funny how they couldnt match our £1.5m bid for Spearing due to lack of funds, but they can bid £12m for Rhodes...?!
thenodrog Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 Hows Eddie Davies going on in the IoM? Wasn't he charging BW 10%+ pa on his £125m loan? Thats over 12m pa they need to find and the parachute payment clock is running down. If he doesn't write their debt off they could be in serious bother before long.
Clitherover Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 Funny how they couldnt match our £1.5m bid for Spearing due to lack of funds, but they can bid £12m for Rhodes...?! Maybe Alan Nixon has dreamed them up a £50M warchest.
davulsukur Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 Nixon must have started the daily 11 o'clock messageboard meltdowns on some Bolton fan site somewhere.
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted July 15, 2013 Moderation Lead Posted July 15, 2013 Maybe Alan Nixon has dreamed them up a £50M warchest. He will say anything to discredit Rovers of late, so I expect some similar dung to come out soon.....
EgyptianPete Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 He will say anything to discredit Rovers of late, so I expect some similar dung to come out soon..... Nixon still saying on twitter today that Bolton will buy JR Eddie Davis will pay apparently, why would he want to go there, i hope if a bid comes in it gets fobbed off. Christ i dislike Nico nixon.
Waggy76 Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 There were Huddersfield fans saying something similar last season ... If Bolton come up with an offer between £10-£12 million he will go ! Davies can afford it .... There is a reason why we signed DJ Campbell ..
Stuart Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 I was with you until the last sentence Waggy. We signed DJ last January (in all but the FL paperwork).
Waggy76 Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 I was with you until the last sentence Waggy. We signed DJ last January (in all but the FL paperwork). True .....I had forgotten that ... Do not know why though ... This could happen , quite easily !
Steve Moss Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 Do we believe Nixon? And how much does Bolton owe its owner? Is he really going to throw 10 million plus on the table, especially with the new fair play rules? In short, I'll believe it when I see it. The real threat is a PL club coming in for him.
Rover_Shaun Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 I thought DJ's transfer fell through then we signed him on loan with a view to purchase (then for some reason decided to buy him, rather like test driving a car for 6 months and still buying it after keeping the AA busy)
