The club can't be saleable in its current format other than to a complete lunatic. (Yet another basket case!)

Nobody other than the Raos can surely know the current financial standing but it clearly can't be a healthy balance sheet.

If they were willing to pay off the financial legacy of their tenure and underwrite the terms of contractual obligations they've signed up to as custodians of the club, then there would probably be some suitors. As that's highly unlikely (but logic seldom applies), I wouldn't hold my breath.

You can never say never in football in terms of players being bought or sold .

With Jordan as stated at the weekend , Rovers will not sell to another Championship , whilst Rhodes camp insist he has no interest in signing for another Championship club .

Jordan loves being a footballer and wants to be the best he can possibly be and play at the highest level he can possibly play .

He has had one or two issues over the summer which have been ironed out .

The owners and board don't want to sell him , although certain people within the club do feel his sale value could get us three players .

I was 100% confident last summer he would sign for Rovers , even when it was reported the deal was off .

I'm now 100% confident he will still be here come the close of the window unless Rovers are offered £12 million plus incentives from a premiership club where Jordan decides he wants to go.

Promotion is worth far more than Jordan's sale value and at present the owners are examining ways of making funds available where they don't come foul of the FFP.

On outgoings , Egos will always be sold . Leon Best may now be frozen out due to his tantrum of questioning team selection.

I fully expect three incomings before next Tuesday 2 perm and one loan player . None of these will be dependent on outgoings .

Northern Rover @Northern_Rover 20m

Derek Shaw has told the LT that Rovers will not sell Rhodes to a fellow Championship club.

Is it Degsy's decision..... or is it the decision of some little Indian banking wallah currently standing forlornly high up on a tiny ledge outside his office window?

Just one thought about this, that no-one has mentioned. If Venky's really are serious about selling the club, I would imagine selling Rhodes before they went would be a big attraction to them.

All speculation of course.

It's what the Trust did isn't it? I obviously don't know the ins and outs of accountancy but it appeared at the time that they valued BRFC far higher than the market and so sold the best players to suit the offer price.

Hey Blueboy3333 - for the good of this MB, let's call it quits.

about @#/? time.

I hadn't noticed glen. His finishing isn't a problem but he's still crap with his back to goal and his all round play 'leading the line is poor. If he wants to improve then those are the areas he needs to do it. On Sat he scored two fine goals and then disappeared for the other 88 mins. If he wants to be the best it really is down to him.

Got to disagree with you there theno. Generally speaking you are spot on but I thought on Saturday Rhodes did really well and worked very hard. The timing of his runs was great I thought.

'One swallow does not a summer make' Bob. The CH had been sent off, their team was disjointed and (apart from the blond lad) dispirited and in disarray and by 45 mins the game was effectively over. Playing in those circumstances is as easy as it gets in football. I judge a player on what he is like when the going is tough.... that is why I admired David Perkin's performance and contribution so much. Without him coming on we could have had a cricket score.

You're right, they did have a man sent off, this will have helped - no doubt about that! But you did say he went missing for 88 minutes. I agree, he does have this in his locker to not get involved enough but I disagree with you about Saturday, I thought he had a very good game (aside from his goals).

I agree Bob. The lad can score for fun, even when presented with bugger all to feed from and even then he's trying to improve his all round game, some folk just aren't happy.

He ain't quick, isn't particularly strong but is beefing up but he has the uncanny knack of putting the ball in the net, no mean feat! I'm grateful for what we've got in him, I can't understand why more is expected. It would be an absolute disaster were he to leave.

This post just goes to show that no matter what you do in football you will never ever win.

Jordan Rhodes is a goalscorer and nothing else. He is a natural born goalscorer that is very consistent week in week out. He leads the line well, he works hard for the team, and will always chase a lost cause so why would you nit pick as something that is so trivial?

He is constantly isolated due to the way in which we play and how many times can you say he's scored goals by whipping the ball in to the box from out wide which is how he ggot most of his goals for Huddersfield? He's had to adapt his game to suit us and i for one think he's done a bloody good job.

Let's face it he's not has strong as other strikers out there but his finishing is second to none.

Agrred on the Perkins lad but let's face it when they went down to 10 men they didn't really change their shape did they? All they did was bring the forward off and replace him with a midfielder. They still had 2 banks of 4 and we had to break them down and rther than looking at Barnsley being weak i'd rather look at it that we were strong.

We created space all over the park and the way we got in behind was something that we've not been able to do in recent times. Take the positives and not the negatives bud ;)

Is there no end to the amount of new players we are going to sign? When we are in mid table at siome pioit of the season someone will decide GB is not doing the business with his 15 new players, sack him and bring in another manager who will bring in another 15 players and so on until bankrupcy. Even in this summer of reducing our playing staff and cutting costs we have still ended up with more players than we had before.

This is all down to Alan Nixon talking rubbish again and having a go at Rovers. When you try asking him a question regarding a story he has broke on twitter regarding Rovers, he just blocks you from his account.

Just watch if Bolton continue to struggle and Freedman isn't the real deal good old Bolton friend Nicko will begin to weld himself firmly to Wigan and back to Coyles butt cheek. Won't be long before Bowton fans turn on him lol

Many Bolton fans already have him sussed, and the Wiganers soon will too.

He has articles to write. I respect that. But Rhodes to Bolton was a laughable link. Rhodes to Wigan is equally laughable (although, at least they may have the cash whereas Bolton never would have).

He's now trying to claim that it's quite a big revelation that Shaw has said that Rhodes 'would probably want to go' if a prem club came in. How on earth is that a big revelation???!!! Of course he'd want to go if a prem club came in for him. Any player in the lower leagues would. I certainly wouldn't begrudge Rhodes a move to the prem if that club offered us £10m+

Got to say I thought Shaws comment in the Telegraph was amateurish at best:

“If it was a Premier League club it might be a different case because Jordan would probably want to go"

Why say that? It just encourages bids you silly little man, you're out of your depth Mr Shaw.
