I never said all his goals(and I wasn't having a go, it was a compliment, peeps need to chill man!)

Yeah, I know, but a lot of people DO seem to think he's just a guy who is in the right place at the right time. It's nonsense, his finishing, movement in the box and creativity in front of goal is amazing. It's why he can score 25+ goals a season despite not having the best physical attributes.

Kevin Phillips. He is tiny compared to Rhodes but he scored regularly and iirc the golden boot.

Fair shout, though phillps was stronger and quicker in my opinion.

Just to be clear I love Rhodes, he is the best finisher we have had since Shearer, and has the best movement since Bellamy. However I just feel he lacks the ability to beat a man physically, with pace or with skill which is vital in the prem.

When Rhodes scored his first goal today he showed his Rovers shirt to the home fans in the Darwen end today and point to it.

Bowyer seems to playing to Rhodes strengths and the team is playing some very good passing and movement football

Gary Bowyer's comments after the game have ruled out Rhodes going anywhere now.

For me, if we can keep making chances for him and him scoring them then we have a great chance of making the playoffs.

Even Alan Nixon has just said that Bolton and Wigan have missed out on Rhodes now. Rhodes is staying.

When I say "weren't terrible" I mean I don't see them being relegation candidates come the end of the season, against lesser opposition than us they should scrape by.

p.s. there fans really are crud, they sold there full allocation but still only made a bit of noise from time to time after they scored, didn't here any chants aimed at us(their arch rivals, in their eyes!)

I thought their midfield was good. 60% possession and they created almost as many chances as us. Their defence was worse than ours (which is saying something) and proud to say Rhodes vs Beckford was like Tyson vs Harrison. Totally agree with your last sentence though!
