You just wait until his contract is close to expiring. He'll be running round like a (kind of) spring chicken, or like someone asked to open a bakery...............hang on........he's already done that this week...........I sense another month on the sidelines coming on.

It's time people 'get real'. Isn't that right Dunny?

Yes it's amazing how injury free he can be when playing for a new contract. Not too sure that he's that much better than Grella on the injury front. I do wonder if he i) wasn't a local lad and ii) wasn't a creative player, and so all the positive stuff he does is obvious, whether he'd get quite so much leeway. I reckon if he'd been of the same quality level but a ;left back from Spain we'd have all wanted him shipped out long ago.

Rochina and Dunn need to share the same duties. Why would you move a guy in good form to RB and leave 5 players patrolling midfield who dont possess a decent tackle between them?

Bit harsh on Evans that. He certainly has a tackle in him - and a fair bit of energy and steel. Don't think you can class him as not doing the defensive side of the game, much less say he hasn't a tackle in him.

(Agree with you about the other 4 and wouldn't play it as a 5 man midfield. Certainly giving Evans, or anyone too much to do.)

I agree with this. Rochina has the ability, absolutely no question there - but whether he can apply it consistently remains to be seen. There's no guarantee he'll make the team better when he comes back because there's no past history to suggest he makes us better on a regular basis through his being in the team.

Whether it's his fault or not is a different matter entirely, but Ruben still has it all to prove and I think we all have to hope he can live up to some of his potential. We need something else right now.

Again I think it comes down to right players in the right system. IF played in the hole and that's the formation that get's the best out of our team, then I think Rochina can thrive there and play a big part for us. Yes he'll be inconsistent, but as a position that maximizes his strengths and gives us the best odds of him using his undoubted talents. Also given the alternatives we have creatively - he's got to be in, there's no one else! I honestly also think that being the main man, or one of them, will also really see him flourish.

However, I do have some reservations. For us, whether he'll be too much of a passenger: Rhodes and King don't contribute masses defensively, so not sure whether a third player like this in the "blood and guts" of the championship will see us get overwhelmed. (Although Rochina will help us keep possession, which obviously helps out the defense and eases the pressure on them.)

My other reservation, is that if he got his head right, and played smart he'd be worth at least £15 million. All the ability is there, just not the nous. Problem is there are no signs that he looks like getting rid of that selfish streak, and growing in awareness of when to pass, dribble or shoot. Am not sure Bowyer will be savvy enough to coax it out of him either. Shame as most players would kill for his talent. Shame the brains aren't there to go with it.

Could be ruben up front with Dunn in the hole at this rate

Until Dunn goes off injured after 30 minutes or so, yeah.

It will be fantastic to have Ruben available for selection again. His trickery and creative spark is something we have missed, and his return should be a welcome boost for the likes of Rhodes, King and Cairney, who must have felt like they were carrying the attacking hopes of the entire team on their shoulders far large parts of the past couple of months.

Im not sure whether this is due to more ineptitude on the behalf of the official Rovers website, or they are trying to keep it under wraps for whatever reason, but there was a Rovers v Blackpool friendly tues afternoon. Henley, Judge, Cambell Taylor, Best , Yann Songo and Rochina all played prominent roles in the match. It finished 5-4 to Rovers.

Rochina had a hand in a couple of the goals according to the match report, providing the assist for Yann Songo goal (corner) and playing a major role in one other. Hopefully he'll be in line for some more mins on sat, this time with a decent pair of boots!

Hope he doesn't start. Our best player (and it is no surprise) was Dunn on Saturday. We dominated the first half with him as the protagonist. He went off and the game fizzled out, with Bowyer refusing to go for the win.

Rochina shouldn't get into the team over Dunn.

Maybe we should have Dunny on the bench, save him for the last 30 mins, perhaps even more impact when the opposition are a bit less fresh.

Need to wrap him in cotton wool a bit too, he's definitely still got it in short bursts though.

Just something someone said about the Reading game, we would have probably won if we had brought Dunny on in the 2nd half as they

had come for a draw anyway.

BTW just read that Sat was Readings first clean sheet in 33 league and cup games.

Rochina should watch Cairney to see how a left-footed midfield player with some talent puts in a shift. Unfortunately the Ewood Messi has neither the application nor the intelligence to make it as a decent player. At the moment he's just another on the books who adds nothing to the squad and is costing unnecessary wages. He won't be missed.

Must say I do find it hypocritical that when a popular member of the squad makes comments like these on twitter clearly questioning the manager, after only recently returning from injuries, people side with him and say they don't blame him. When someone who isn't very good ie Best does it, we all see what happens.

That said, I do rate Rochina to a certain extent and hope he stays.

He still has it.

Work rate is valued more than talent in this country and that will mean he leaves in January

He'd be in my team all day long. You can harness and manipulate talent if it's there and Rochina has it, so put it to use.

Duncan McKenzie, Scott Sellars anyone? He ain't there yet but could be.

How do those comments 'clearly question the manager'?
