Proud doesn't come close.

The dangers to us are well documented but, and I've avoided even thinking this so far let alone saying it, this team is the real deal. We out worked, out thought and ultimately out played QPR.

We've put in one hell of a foundation for the season and given ourselves a shot at top 6 if we can be a little lucky.

Worst case, 18 more points to safety :-)

Oh one sour note, the @#/? who threw the bottle at Barton!

Well done to you lot longsider. Rather surprised it was only one bottle given that you have any number of dickheads over there.

btw..... How did Jones play? ^_^

Jones bossed it and our 'Arry must be realising he bought the wrong striker ;-)

Look Barton did what he does and as a result he's a magnet for these things BUT fair play to him, he didn't make a big deal about it. Our chief exec has just done an interview where he revealed at the game against yourselves the numpties in that section caused 3k damage to the seats, in their own ground FFS.

They currently have double the points we do whilst we are 7 points from the playoffs and 7 points from the relegation zone

Let's not be small time and pretend its luck or otherwise

Edit Kean you Stuart I'm going to start ruling this place with an iron fist and you are first you Keaning kean

:P

It's not luck but I still think they had a relatively easy start to the campaign. And that's got to give you the confidence to keep it going.

Fair do's to them though, they are keeping it up.

The difference between us and them is unbelievable in terms of organization behind the scenes and that's got to be a lesson to Venky's. What am I thinking of, of course it won't they'll still be floundering round confused this time next year as they appoint yet another lamb to the slaughter as manager.

Come on booth. First it was because we'd not played anybody, October would sort us out. Then when we beat Reading and Ipswich it was QPR is the first real test, what next?

At some point we are going to hit a bad patch, then we will see whether this team has it or not but truth be told the biggest danger to us remains injuries and suspensions.

Looking at today's other results good results for Huddersfield and Yeovil. In other news Bolton still struggling, wonder how long Gartside's patience is going to last.

I said "fair do's for them keeping it up" but you couldn't resist could you.

You still had an easy ride in your first couple of months and you can't deny it. You can't buy the confidence that will have given you.

When you get injuries like we have and you're still riding high, I'll agree that Dyche is the second coming of Judas and that you have a fair chance of going up this season.

I heard a commentator state that "Burnley have confidence pouring out of every orifice" !!

They'll need to drink their Lucozade eh?

One positive is that if burnley get promoted and we don't lose at Ewood, the unbeaten run will grow by at least a full season...

Shows that hard work, team spirit and organisation are more important than perceived 'ability' in this league. Full of wannabe big time players who don't put the effort in.

What about Mr Dyche's contribution ?

That cannot be underestimated , something our owners do not recognise , a proper manager ..

Completely agree, the manager has to get the players to perform. Venkys wouldn't know an experienced manager if one slapped them in the face.

Thing is, Burnley fans were saying, "Who?" when Sean Dyche was appointed. They were very disgruntled if my memory serves me right.

He's proving to be a good manager so far but so did Owen Coyle and so did Ian Holloway and look at them both now.

It's a funny old manager merry-go-round in football.

There aren't too many managers I can think of who have steadied a ship as unsteady as ours in their first season in management. Honestly, I think Bowyer might have enough about him to be a decent manager. Every manager starts somewhere and in my humble opinion I think Bowyer has made a good fist of it. Yes, ok we probably needed an experienced head - But we didn't get one. We got a rookie who seems to be doing quite well. Sometimes managers just take a wee while to find their feet. I mean Ince was a train wreck at Rovers, but he seems to have hit a chord at Blackpool. Who expected that? I can't help but feel Bowyer might be one who can be a success at Rovers given time. But I get the feeling time might just be running out for him. If so, that's a huge mistake. All the noises coming from the squad are how much they like working for him. The new manager bounce really only applies to sides who have divide between the manager and the players. Rovers don't seem to fall into that category.

Indeed - I was one who had doubts at the end of last season - he's made me look a right mug.

Guest Norbert

He's certainly doing the job. It just doesn't feel right having Burnley racing away like this, but then it'll stop Rovers fans from being complacent about the rivalry. Hopefully things will be back to how it has been by March!

How it was last season? We were better than you then too.

You haven't been better than us since the Steve Kean glory days.

So thats just over 12 months then Sam. Truth is that you lot haven't been better than us in your entire history.

The Dingle propaganda machine is grinding into action again I see.

I think you'll find, you haven't been better than us since Harry Potts was your manager.
