How it was last season? We were better than you then too.

You haven't been better than us since the Steve Kean glory days.

When was the last time you won? 1979? How does a draw make you better?

On a serious note re the Derby - this years attendance from both home and away fans shows it is becoming something of a non event for both - probably because of the over bearing restrictions.

Based on your away following thread it wasn't even close to your biggest away following this season at 2500 and I would imagine it must be the first time in a long time it hasn't been our biggest crowd of the season.

It will be interesting to see how well attended the return fixture is.

I went and always do for that fixture, but its a ridiculous setup that needs to be looked at. Not sure whats the worst bit, all the OTT travel, or a couple of hrs in that cattle shed you call an away end

One positive is that if burnley get promoted and we don't lose at Ewood, the unbeaten run will grow by at least a full season...

Shows that hard work, team spirit and organisation are more important than perceived 'ability' in this league. Full of wannabe big time players who don't put the effort in.

Very true. At least one team a year proves that by getting promoted.

There aren't too many managers I can think of who have steadied a ship as unsteady as ours in their first season in management. Honestly, I think Bowyer might have enough about him to be a decent manager. Every manager starts somewhere and in my humble opinion I think Bowyer has made a good fist of it. Yes, ok we probably needed an experienced head - But we didn't get one. We got a rookie who seems to be doing quite well. Sometimes managers just take a wee while to find their feet. I mean Ince was a train wreck at Rovers, but he seems to have hit a chord at Blackpool. Who expected that? I can't help but feel Bowyer might be one who can be a success at Rovers given time. But I get the feeling time might just be running out for him. If so, that's a huge mistake. All the noises coming from the squad are how much they like working for him. The new manager bounce really only applies to sides who have divide between the manager and the players. Rovers don't seem to fall into that category.

I agree wholeheartedly PV.

I think at the time GB was very much Hobson's choice. He's clearly much to learn, at least whatever decision he makes, there is no doubt whatsoever that it's made in the best interests of BRFC as far as he's concerned.

You still think it's luck? Did you see the deflection for their second? airfields effort back off the post? The penalty appeal on Vokes? No your myopic on everything apart from our luck.

Any team top after almost a third of a season are there because they've been the best team so far, that simple.

Saw some of the Leicester game though, they look very dangerous and expect them and QPR to fight for top 2 come the end of the season.

It's not luck, it's been going on for too long to be luck. I don't think it will last all season though, could see you getting a playoff place quite easily. Unfortunately we're too inconsistent to get into the play-offs this season, shame because that would have made one hell of a tasty playoff final, wonder how they would police that at Wembley?

Enough of this Burnley nonsense now. It's been proven in this league, and the PL that you can be top in November, and be completely out of it in April/May. Longsiders can have his fun now, and to be fair, you need to have some luck to remain at the top for this long. Imo it's still early days, and I'm sure there will be loads of twists and turns to come

Not sure I've ever said anything different cape town, in fact I've said exactly that, which is all the more reason to enjoy it now, but it isn't luck at all. Over 14 games we've been the best team. Unbeaten in last 10 league games, on league defeat all so far, is anybody really suggesting that is luck? Do I take it that if you make into the top 6 now it will be just luck? No it will be playing better than the teams you meet.

I'm on record that I don't think for a second we will be top 2 and I still wouldn't back us for top 6 but I'm enjoying it for what it is.

Back to general championship and have to say Blackpool are doing much better than I expected this season, Ince looking better than he did at your gaff.

Think you are not understanding the luck bit, as there have been moments in your matches where you were a bit fortunate. I think those moments normally play itself out over a season, and while you get the rub of the green now, it eventually goes against you at some point. I'm one of those, that rivalry aside, you take those decisions and worry about the next game later. I'm a footballer, and I don't care if it's Burnley Or Man United, if you top then you must be doing something right irrespective of decisions going your way. I do hope you crash and burn though in the coming games, but anyway, enjoy it :)

If you were better than us "then too" you wouldn't be clinging on to that link in your signature that when clicked shows a goal scored against us back in 2005 in a match where we beat you.

I predict Leicester City will be champions this season
