roversfan99 Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 Rather finish 10th than play offs The stupidest post ever seen. The worst outcome of the play offs = the equivalent of 10th.

Waggy76 Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 I don't think either Rovers or Burnley will reach the play offs .... Burnley should but i have my doubts if they really want too...
thenodrog Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 Good job we didn't do as you wish in '91 Abbey! The past 20 odd years would have had a far different outcome.
LDRover Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 Probably not, bearing in mind we we went up in '92
Gav Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 At Burnley last week speaking to a Dingle, said they'd sold 1,200 tickets for Yeovil......must have been given them for Xmas free by the club? The away allocation is 1400 and they've nowhere near sold out, as tickets are on general sale on the day of the game. That's from someone who went to buy 3 today, not me by the way!! Why is everyone obsessed with playoffs ? I take it most have never experienced them . They are the most awful things ever. I said after we won at Wembley I never ever want to experience them or my kids experience them . Win or lose they scramble your head. Even when we won it was awful, so I know exactly what you mean. Chelsea, Swindon, Palace and Leicester, nightmare.
OJRovers Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 I think I would be physically sick during a play off final between rovers and burnley. As if a normal game isn't tense enough, imagine the dingles ending the 35 year record at wembley Defeat sending rovers into administration.... not even worth thinking about!
ABBEY Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 What do you do when you go to a football game, or watch one on tv? What do you take from it? What goes through your mind? Which bits do you enjoy? Which bits do you dislike? Which bits do you understand? Which bits don't you understand? Do you face in the right direction?Rishtons general pillock returns .The stupidest post ever seen. The worst outcome of the play offs = the equivalent of 10th. Have you been through the play offs. ? Good job we didn't do as you wish in '91 Abbey! The past 20 odd years would have had a far different outcome. After that day I said I never wanted to go through another bout of play offs. . Yes it was amazing but as Gav has said .. Chelsea Swindon palace etc where a damn site worse . The away allocation is 1400 and they've nowhere near sold out, as tickets are on general sale on the day of the game. That's from someone who went to buy 3 today, not me by the way!! Even when we won it was awful, so I know exactly what you mean. Chelsea, Swindon, Palace and Leicester, nightmare. Horrendous feeling . Top two or 7th for me .playoffs worse thing ever invented in footy .
West Yorks Rover Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 Looks like Ashley Barnes to Burnley circa £450k from Brighton. Ings to Liverpool ????
Backroom Tom Posted January 10, 2014 Backroom Posted January 10, 2014 My only experience of playoffs that I remember are good ones Loved the second leg against Derby as id never witnessed anything like it, didn't we watch it on a big screen at Ewood? And the final was great i was only 7 or so but remember yellow balloons all over service stations and t shirts hailing 'big fat jack' (as he was then known) I was young and naive then though I don't think I could hack it these days
arbitro Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 Looks like Ashley Barnes to Burnley circa £450k from Brighton. Ings to Liverpool ???? According to my Burnley mate Ings will not be sold in the window. If they don't go up he will be sold and Barnes will step into his shoes having been at the club for six or so months. It's called succession planning - something we have lacked for around three years now.

Ricky Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 Leicester looking good. 4-1 up now. Hoping this dents Derbys confidence a bit for the second half of the season.
somersetrover Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 Another penalty for Leicester. They are this seasons Crystal Palace in terms of getting dodgy penalties.
Ricky Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 Not really dodgy though, it was pretty blatant.
Backroom Tom Posted January 10, 2014 Backroom Posted January 10, 2014 Maybe not dodgy this time but Nugent has scored a ridiculous amount of penalties this season
Ricky Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 8 or 9 now I think they said. He's missed a few as well.
Backroom Tom Posted January 11, 2014 Backroom Posted January 11, 2014 Wednesday 1-0 at home to Leeds If it stays like that we have a real chance today to put Us right in it
Salgado Is A Hero Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 2-0 down now Unless Birmingham win at Brighton, we won't be in the top 6 but hopefully we are soon enough
Backroom Tom Posted January 11, 2014 Backroom Posted January 11, 2014 Brighton v Brum Ipswich v QPR Watford v Reading All 3 could win but all tricky games, lets just make sure we do our bit
only2garners Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Wednesday 1-0 at home to Leeds If it stays like that we have a real chance today to put Us right in it This game seems to me to be simultaneously making our win at Leeds look less impressive and the point on Boxing Day more impressive.
Ricky Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Red card after the lad had been on the pitch 60 seconds.
Guest Norbert Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Sounds like the player was trying to outdo Fabio. I'm impressed.
West Yorks Rover Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 3-0 Why would Leeds want to buy Cameron Stewart from Hull and Kebe(is he any good?) I thought their ex Reading manager knew this league, looks like the owners have conned the fans again about having money to spend though.
rovers11 Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Brighton v Brum Ipswich v QPR Watford v Reading All 3 could win but all tricky games, lets just make sure we do our bit All we can focus on is winning our games. If keep winning then the team's around us will slip up at some point.
Ricky Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 4-0 On the comments about Kebe, he's a player I've always been impressed with when I've seen him. Think he'll be a good signing for Leeds.
