McDermott will be lucky to see the weekend out, they've had some terrible results of late.

Our 0-0 draw looks brilliant now.

I wouldn't go that far, we should have beaten them if we have ambitions to go up.

If we'd got the win we should have gone for we'd be in the play off spots now. Forest away next, that'll be a tough one.

Was thinking that too. If only...

But on the positive side it's good to get a win, clean sheet, and keep stumbling towards the playoffs.

Leeds had a bad result but they have a small squad, which is unsurprising that the season is catching up with them. Bit shocked they think Stewart is the answer (and have given him a 3 year deal!) mind.

Good wins for Brighton and Reading, who're getting in to stride. There's a lot of good sides gunning for those playoff places. And an excellent win for QPR - one of their first ones against stronger opposition in the Championship.

On the converse side I do worry for Watford - still dropping points (though a tough game today) and you wonder if the Italians will get bored that their Udinese B team isn't working out. Ince also continues to work his magic at Blackpool - another loss, this time to an in-form Boro.

Good thing is - is that the likes of Forest and Derby have slipped up meaning the pack is bunching uptogether quite nicely, the other weak it was 6th place easily targetable but 5th is also under the spot light not, just less than half a season to play for and i think we are ticking along nicely.

We've closed the gap on Derby and Forest today and we have those two teams next. Next two games are massive and we could make up some serious ground on teams on the top 6. Derby`s bubble seems to have burst and don't see them getting top 6. I don't see Ipswich getting top 6 either. Burnley will prob make the playoffs now.

13 points off automatic promotion. We couldn't, could we?

You know what might just happen............can any of us really enjoy the build up to a meeting with Burnley in the play offs?

A 4-0 win would be great, but before the event, I'm not sure I'd be that happy or confident.

Looking at the league table I think it's beginning to sort itself out. Swap Ipswich for Wigan (Who are beginning to adapt to the Championship) and those 9 teams will be vying for 6 places. Derby may well drop away but as much as it hurts, even if the Dingles have a nightmare month or two, they'll probably make the playoffs at worst.

Next 2 games are massive. Win at Forest and at home to Derby and we're really in the mix...but we won't ...will we?

Long, long way to go yet!

Off what I have seen QPR and Leicester will probably go straight up....

Wigan could be dark horses , personally think we have too much to do,Forest , Derby ,Brighton, Reading and Burnley..I wish Souey was our manager , he wouldn, t worry about the opposition let them worry about us

Very confident about beating us then? You do know it is us who has those thirteen points more than you in second? Oh I know it is all going to go wrong when we have to play someone in the top half of the table ......That said I just did a quick calculation and I'm sure I must have got something wrong because as far as I can see we have 19 points from 10 games against teams in the top 10 but you only have 4 from 9 games against the top 10?

As you say no question your next 2 games will have a huge bearing on your season - and will give a good indication of where you might end up. For the record we got a draw at Forest - haven't played the home game against Derby yet, we won 0-3 at their gaff.

Still a long way to go before I think we have the top 6 in the bag but as we only need maybe 3 points from 21 games I think I can say we won't be relegated this season now.

I cannot face a play off against your lot, anybody but your lot

You really wish Souey was our manager? Overlooking a lot there. Still, I wish Sam was so I guess I'm just as daft?

Perhaps time to be happy with Bowyer, seems to have turned it around.

As for the automatic promotion slots, beyond us I'd say. We are in the mix for the play-offs along with a lot of other sides and that's all you can say at this stage. Would have settled for that at the start of the season. Well done Bowyer!

If we win the next two then.we could well be in the mix for automatic promotion! If we can get within 7 or 8 points of second place then we'd have a chance. We were 8 points off the play offs at one point this season and now we are only 2 away so I'd say if we could get the gap to second place to only 7 or 8 points we have a chance.

In saying all that, it's probably getting carried away to think we could break into the top two but you never know. It would take an astonishing run to get us in there. I'd snap your hand off for a play off place at this stage.

We've got as good a chance as anyone of making the play offs. Our away form was what I thought was going to prevent us from being serious play off contenders but that seems to have improved drastically recently. We seem to have become more consistent as the season has gone on and that is due to the new players understanding each other's game better and our younger players maturing. I believe we are 4th in the form table.

Other reasons why play offs are starting to look more realistic is because Robbo is back which is vital as the GK position was starting to really let us down. Kean was making mistakes every game and Eastwood was capable of dropping a clanger as well. Robbo is as well to be fair but at least he is more experienced and therefore makes less mistakes the other too.

Our defence looks solid and is shown by the amount of clean sheets we've kept, particularly at home. We have an excellent strike pairing in Gestede and Rhodes who seem to have a good understanding and bags of goals in them. We also have a lot of firepower in reserve such as Dunn, Rochina, and DJ. We also have 3 exceptional midfielders in Marshall, Cariney and Evans. The latter is due to return in the next few weeks.

All in all things are certainly looking very positive.

Not the 2014 version, silly.

The one who we had last time we were in this position.

We've played pretty much all of the top 10 away from home. Our away form has been rubbish away this season apart from recently. We'll amass a lot more points against the top 10 in the second part of the season when we play them at home.

Impressed by Burnley this season. Dyche has worked miracles.

I think you've played 5 away, as have we. I'm only quoting stats that were thrown at me earlier in the season to show we were kean and within weeks we'd be back down the bottom of the league :-)

Still 21 games to go, that is a lot of points and, as Derby have just shown, a decent run is more than possible
