Burnley 2-1 with Millwall, Ings missed a pen? That right?? I still expect them to put Milwall away second half comfortably.

Edit-Forest score on the stroke of ht.

Ings did miss a penalty - well some of you have been telling me since August our luck was about to run out ;-) . His two goals though were very well taken.

A decent set of results all round for us - just need the right result tomorrow now.

A point away is always decent but a win for you yesterday would really have taken advantage of some favourable results.

I can't believe how close it is for the top 6. Anybody from about 11th could make the play offs, and (assuming Leicester are now pretty much there) 4 teams still in with a real shout at the other automatic spot

Not sure its a good result for Burnley in the long run though as Derby and QPR will both be breathing down their neck instead of just QPR

The (envious) problem Burnley have is being in an automatic position for so long that if a team has a late surge and usurps them they head into the playoffs with a negative mindset

So QPR and Redknapp once again showing it's money over substance. That's another loss for QPR against a top 4 team. Granted they've done well against the weaker teams, but as soon as they don't have a monetary advantage they seem to struggle. And people say Redknapp is a great manager...

Very interesting to see Derby challenging for an automatic promotion place. Really surprised given they've a pretty average Championship squad - not sure how many of their players we would want. It does show what the right tactics and manager can do for you thought,

Funnily enough, QPR are a team full of egos and individuals, and not really team spirit.

Which was 'Arry's main criticism of the club when he took over from Mark Hughes...

1 point but Us and QPR have a game in hand.

I'll take being in second at this point in the season, even on GD alone.

I'm not worried about us going into the play offs on a downer but regardless if where you finish they are a lottery, and I would have snapped your hand of in August for any of the top 6 positions. Absolutely loving the rid and this has been a great set of weekend results for us.

BREAKING NEWS:

Harry Redknapp rather likes the look of one of another team's top players and would love to have him, even though said team have dismissed rumours of a move and it'd be disrespectful to say any more.

(Ravel Morrison of West Ham this time).

The success Burnley are continuing to have is suprising in a number of ways. Longsider had expected them to have faded by now, partly because of their smallish squad which could have been by reduced injuries and suspensions.

The season they were promoted was partly a financial gamble-they normally sell someone in January but they didn't that season. They haven't done again this season. Let's hope the parallels don't continue!

Worst bit is that we let them have one of their most influential players. I rated him but it seems Bowyer didn't.... although in fairness at that point he believed that Spearing was on his way in..... a fine example of the old 'bird in the hand' adage.

If Burnley don't go up it's going to have been a very, very costly season for them. Being in the top three all season will be pretty expensive players bonus wise.

Extra support through the season (although goodness knows where their average attendance would settle if they were fighting relegation) plus 2/3 extra matches in front of full houses in May should cover most of it I'd suggest. If not they'll get plenty of booty from the sale of their best players in the summer.

At least you're making some savings there.

Here he is. The highlight of what must be a thoroughly miserable existence. His infatuation with a BRFC message board continues :rover:

I love the fact that your favourite memory of the last 35 years was a goal in a game which you ultimately lost... again.

That doesn't even make sense.

You must have a truly grim existence if you get your kicks by trolling on a rival club's message board.
