BrisRover Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 QPR up 1-0 over Forrest. I'd be happy if this is the final result.

Backroom Tom Posted April 12, 2014 Backroom Posted April 12, 2014 Just Showed Gary Parkinson at Burnley today on sky I just can't imagine anything worse
thenodrog Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 Bournemouth equalise with a jammy (Jordan Rhodes / Turf) deflection. Huddersfield now 3-1 down with 9 men at Derby. I think the ref must be from around here!
Backroom Tom Posted April 12, 2014 Backroom Posted April 12, 2014 Who do we want to come down? Personally id rather Sunderland didn't because they will be a force I think but they are as good as down
Shaddy Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 4-2 now, good result for us. Still hope Eh? Not funny
Stuart Posted April 12, 2014 Author Posted April 12, 2014 It doesn't matter what favours any other clubs do for us, we will not take advantage.
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted April 12, 2014 Moderation Lead Posted April 12, 2014 All we can do is focus on our own games, but if we can't win from 3-1 up away from home then when will we win? Time and again, sitting back and defending deeper and deeper invites pressure and leads to conceding goals. GB doesn't learn.
longsiders1882 Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 Nothing of the sort Gav - everything but score today. One of those games where for the life in me I can't understand how we didn't win it, let alone lose it! Like I have kept saying, it isn't done and we are only up if and when we are up.
martonrover Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 Ipswich with a good chance of getting in the play offs = says it all about the lack of quality in the Championship this season.
Stuart Posted April 12, 2014 Author Posted April 12, 2014 And to think, McCarthy was being used as an example of an experienced manager 'failing' earlier in the season.
martonrover Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 And to think, McCarthy was being used as an example of an experienced manager 'failing' earlier in the season. Agreed, but they're so crap I bet he can't believe where they are in the league.
Stuart Posted April 12, 2014 Author Posted April 12, 2014 We've had stability all season. I can't believe where we are in a crap league.
martonrover Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 We've had stability all season. I can't believe where we are in a crap league. Will almost certainly be tougher next season, which is a factor those predicting we will go up a level are not taking into account.
Backroom Tom Posted April 12, 2014 Backroom Posted April 12, 2014 Sunderland will do well in this league but I wouldn't fear Norwich, West Brom or Fulham
Parsonblue Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 We've had stability all season. I can't believe where we are in a crap league. You're right for once Stuart. It is hard to believe how much we have improved. Hopefully more to come next season.
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 Sunderland will do well in this league but I wouldn't fear Norwich, West Brom or Fulham West Brom know all about this division. They'll be a threat if they come down.
somersetrover Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 Sunderland will do well in this league but I wouldn't fear Norwich, West Brom or Fulham Sunderland will struggle if they go down, they have a lot of out of contract players and have already said that they have to cut the wage bill if they go down. West Brom are always a threat at this level, Fulham would struggle for the same reasons as Sunderland, Norwich would depend on who they appoint as manager. And I also think that Cardiff I would struggle.
Parsonblue Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 Hope is all we've got, Parson. To be honest Stuart, I'm very encouraged with what I've seen in recent weeks, including today. For me that is something of a novelty as any of my friends would tell you I'm normally the most pessimistic of supporters!

Sunderland will be ok In this league in general as they will always pull in the crowds and the funds but you are right it may not be immediate but very well could be
West Yorks Rover Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Sunderland will do well in this league but I wouldn't fear Norwich, West Brom or Fulham I heard Fulham have some really good young players coming through.but they'll have a lot of others they will have to get off the wage bill, I suppose.
Hughesy Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Sunderland, Norwich, Cardiff coming down I think.... all 3 will struggle to make an immediate return. As for the play-offs Readings run is terrible - they wont make 6th Bournemouth & Ipswich play each other so one has to slip up at least - and I don't think either are strong enough to win all 4 games In my opinion its Brighton's to lose.... IF we can get 4 wins out of 4.... a VERY big IF, then they are the only team that could possibly be our problem I think

Rovers have done their chips today I'm afraid, even if we win all 4, which would be unbelievable, we aren't going to make 5 points up on them (4 + GD). Brighton's next 2 games couldn't be much easier Hudds away, who are in shocking form, and Blackpool home, say no more.
