Haha, tacky joke but so true. I would love to have been the one he told he wanted to leave. I would have laughed in his face.

Unfortunately I can't see a Premier League club buying him, we shouldn't loan him out. Sure it gets rid of his wages but the likely scenario at the end of the season is that he has failed to impress and the club decide not to take the option of buying him. So at the end of the season he returns to the club with his fee even lower as he has run down another year on his contract and we have a 3rd/4th choice defender on big wages.

If I was Scott damn I'd think I wasn't good enough if I looked over the last few years and I'd stay thru my huge contract and sort my family for life.

How can he think he is good enough to force s move and you would think the top managers are better clued up as to want Dann.

The trouble with this viewpoint is that it assumes we would replace average players with better ones.

When are people on this forum going to stop slating our players?

Everyday it's someone getting slated and I get that a lot of people are disappointed after the last few seasons but give it a rest!

The players are putting on the blue and white halves so they should get our support.

Dann, Lowe, they try hard and it's not their fault if managers buy, promote or pick them when they're not good enough.

Opinions fair enough.. but insulting the players relentlessly is a little too far.

We get it, you don't like those players, they aren't good enough but they don't deserve disrespect.

All those people who slated the likes of Andrews and Mokoena in the past would kill for players like that now.

Dann and Lowe are fine in this Division. Our problems do not lie with either of them. There are far too many know nowts these days weaned on Championship manager and the like. Some people need to realise that BRFC with 11 Jordan Rhodes on the pitch would be rock bottom and relegated before March.

These two seem to be best mates. Orr is always on twitter saying how much Dunn is making him laugh. I don't believe for a second that Dunn actually thinks Orr would be any kind of loss, just helping out a mate

That's what Dunn tends to do - anyone for a laugh type guy hence why he was pals with Kean too.

Sadly like a lot of footballers lacks brain cells.

Legend though.

Generally think a lot of your football related posts are good, but this is way off the mark. Lowe seems to get more stick from the regulars - though agree he's fine for this division so long as he's not a key player.

Dann however is a problem. Given the physical nature of the championship for the wages he's on and as a key player (and sadly captain) he contributes nowhere near enough and isn't tough enough to be a mainstay of any promotion push. He's easily out-muscled, poor with his head. and can often loose his man. Could we get the same for less wages or better for the wages he's on - definitely. And that's in the real world not football manager.

And don't think anyone wants 11 Jordan Rhodes - a midfielder who can pass, a left back and a better cd would be preffered

I agree totally, but respect is a 2 way street.

I'm not sure, but I have never heard Jason Lowe or Scott Dann disrespect the fans in any way. Orr, definitely, and perhaps David Dunn (but we can forgive him for it because he meant well), but Lowe and Dann? Nah.

This is why it's a fools charter giving lengthy contracts to players. A lucrative evergreen for 12 months at the most. Seems plain that Livorno will have Givet if they can get him for nowt and on low remuneration. Both them and Givet are playing the game of trying to get the rest out of us, simply cos they both know that they have us over a barrell.

It's business and I'd do the same if I were either Livorno or Givet's agent. Daft thing is that if we could get him to accept what Livorno are proposing then he'd be Ok staying here.

It's obvious that these parachute payments aren't intended for football clubs at all, they are intended for the players and their agents. :glare:

Parachute payments are absolutely there 100% for players, the aim is to allow clubs to fulfil "premiership" contracts. As you say fair play to Givet for playing the game but it is hitting us as a club square in the nuts, he's obviously seen Gomes & Murphy get handshakes and wants some of it.

Just like to point out that for two years now they haven't been getting any from me.

Interesting tweet from Orr, hopefully we've found someone to take him off our hands. @bradleyorr2: This is the 1st time in my career that I havnt prepared to play in the season opener...feels quite strange but all will be revealed in time!
