[Archived] Clearout begins at Rovers

Im just so sad that we got so poor as a football club to offer this idiot a "professional" contract. He seems determined to prove he's anything but both on and off the pitch.

It may mean nothing at all but I noticed that rovers posted all the player squad photos to Instagram

Everyone was there apart from Bradley Orr and Dickson Etuhu

Suspect that Etuhu will go out on loan IF he is fit in time - otherwise it will be january.

Disregarding the merits (or lack of) of Orr has a footballer - politically it is not possible to have him on the pitch. Seeing that Kane/Henley are at least as competent (better in my opinion but i'm playing devils advocate) and even Lowe is not a huge step down then there is absolutely zero to be gained by having Orr at the club.

the rumour is orr is being offered to other clubs for free in a bid to get rid of him

Orr's contract is up at the end of the current season. This guy is the worst player I've seen. even Darren Peacock was better.

Rovers need to get rid of this guy asap. don't need him around the place at all upset the good atmosphere that is at Brockhall.

wouldn't even play him in the reserve side either.

On the Etuhu situation rumours are he will leave when fit. might just been loan. maybe a club in France or Belgium would take him.

Pretty much.

You did the right thing.

Sadly, i can never resist the BRFCS siren call.

And that is the difference between being a real supporter and not.

Lets not overreact; yes Orr is unneeded but he isn't even the worst player we have at the moment. He is an average, Championship right back, nothing more than that, but we don't need him as back up any more as we have Henley and Kane. He has helped to win this league with QPR before.

Lowe is worse, Markus Olsson is worse, Bruno is worse and plays in the same position, Edinho is worse.

Also no one will take Etuhu's wages. Apart from PSG and Monaco, french clubs are hardly flush with money, and a team in Belgium will not pay the wages Etuhu wants.

'Players' would be generous, that's why.

Tbf, I thought Etuhu would do well at this level, and seemed to until Kean left.

Orr is an awful player. worst I've seen Peacock. Bruno, Olsson and even Edinho is better than that's useless player.

wonder if he could be sacked after posting that picture for gross misconduct?

I think Orr will be gone this coming week

Lowe is miles better and will start today. so instead of the Lowe slagging off as you always do, why not get behind him and give him your support. I think Lowe will be better player this season and Bowyer will get the best out of him.

My first choice centre midfield would be Evans and Cairney with Lowe playing if Evans is injured/suspend/lost of form or we want to play 4-5-1 with two proper defensive midfielders would I think we will in a lot of away games.

Evans is a defensive midfielder and Cairney is deep midfield playmaker. Williamson isn't a playmaker for me and isn't fit at the minute so will be few weeks until he is fully fit. he is a decent player but nothing more.

my centre midfielders for today's game are Lowe and Cairney with either Rochina or Judge in the number 10 role.

I still think the criticism of Etuhus performances was overstated he was good for a while then was carrying a knock and Danny Murphy

I'd also disagree with Chaddy, Orr is a poor player with a worse attitude but he's nowhere near the worst we've seen its hyperbole in the extreme

Orr is much better than all of them players, even though he isn't that good himself.

Yes, I want him to leave, mainly because he is unneeded and we have far too many players, including 4 in his position. He will be difficult to shift though on his wages.

Lowe isn't miles better, why will he be better this season? Just more blind hope. When at games I don't boo him and start singing negative songs about him, of course I'd like him to do well. But, after alot of chances, it's clear to me and many others that he isn't good enough. He can't pass, isn't positionally aware and is a bit soft. I'd love him to suddenly improve but I have no reason to believe it will happen. Therefore, I hope the better alternatives (just) that we have in our squad get a chance as I think that will improve our chances.

In central midfield this season, ideally we will use Evans and Williamson, with Cairney and Marrow as back up.

Also, if I am 'slagging off' and 'not getting behind' Lowe, aren't you doing the same to Orr? :tu:

I don't think anyone said he's particularly good and both Kane and Henley are better.

Orr always gave his all I think, he is just an average championship right back who is now unneeded. The worst player ever seen after some of the crap we've had recently is massively exaggerated as Tom says.

The one thing which sums up Bradley Orr's ability is this. He was linked with us under Paul Ince. He was signed under Steve Kean. And he was recalled from Ipswich by Michael Appleton. Arguably the 3 worst managers we have ever had?

If his legs moved as fast as his mouth then he might have made an average footballer. Sadly for him this isn't the case. However he does make a world class gobshite.

I agree re: Etuhu, I still think he could be a useful player in ideal circumstances if fit and with a decent partner alongside him. Whether he can stay fit or whether he is worth his money are different matters entirely.

Disagree about Orr, maybe he is capable of slightly better pushed into midfield but in a Rovers shirt at full back he has been truly shocking. His performances coupled with his apparent attitude are something we definitely do not need.

Conversely, on the rare occasions I've seen the likes of Bruno in the flesh I've thought he looks an extremely tidy player.
