The same vague kite-flying on every thread. Nothing to back it up, just lots of 'ifs' and 'likelys'.

I''l ask you again, how do you know Venky's aren't covering all the losses?

He doesn't and am I being totally thick but who the hell is Luca Paciola?

Don't think you need to know much about Luca Paciola to understand that our financial position is likely to be perilous.

To think otherwise is head in sand stuff.

As to why we might sell Rhodes at a 'bargain price', well if you are desperate for cash and your lenders and creditors have you by the b@lls, you really aint got much choice.

Thought Venkys had lots of money

of course Rovers have a choice.

so your thinking is we sell Rhodes for 5 millions pounds to pay the Creditors but Huddersfield would be due the rest of the transfer fee which is 5.5 million pounds plus the sell fee clause due to them so Rovers would be making more of a loss. so no point in selling him for 5 million is there.

we are due to pay Huddersfield 2.5 million pounds at the end of the month and we sold Martin Olsson for the fee so we do HAVE the money to pay that installment

MM, doesn't know!

for all we know because The owners might have pay off the debt from last season, so starting this season accounts could be break even or even in the black.

But the honest answer nobody apart from the people at Ewood and The owners know the answer. we can all speculate and we don't know honestly till December.

I don't see the problem with having the banking being done in India. The guarantees would have be against Venky's assets in India and NOT Ewood Park or Brockhall training centre. This was said on a podcast last season.

Venkys have invested money in the Rovers academy to get us Category level 1 status for the club.

My understanding is that there are 2 financial targets to be met by the time the window closes which indicate that we are not being backed Abramovich style.

At this stage, based upon ins and outs, I would think we would miss those targets by some distance unless..............

By 2 September, I think we will all know the answers.

Could explain Piggy's please come and buy our players plea in the telegraph, so he meets targets and keeps his nose in the trough . Don;t know why he's bothered he could just save us some more money on a few chairs .

What are the targets? Unless you know them you won't know if we'll miss them.

To be fair, you are a lot more subtle and clever than Saxoman. However, it is clear you are here to wind folk up so toughen the @#/? up.

It was a perfectly valid and reasonable question to ask though and my suspicion would also be that you were making it up unless you were willing and able to put some sort of meat on the bones either on here or privately by pm so someone could verify you were correct.

Good point...in fairness, every bit of good info that we have on this subject lends itself to the theory that Venkys are covering the losses...wouldn't surprise md if "Venkys" end up sponsoring us at some point to boost our ffp coffers!

I am a million miles from a Venky lover but there is no evidence to suggest they'll do a flit! They have been badly advised. Firstly on buying us and then on a strategy for success...

Be careful what you wish for..if they did pack up and knob off we would be staring into the abyss!!

just as i thought, you made it up.

You can think what you like - I don't need to justify myself to you or anyone on this MB.

If my understanding is correct, it would be unwise to share specific information on a MB as there are clear sensitivities.

I think we will know come 2 September if there is any credibility to my understanding.

Finally, if you don't like what I say or you think it's cr@p then just put me on ignore and it will say both of us aggravation.

Whilst that's a little wummy, Ricky, that is one of the biggest hits to MM's credibility on here.

The way he patronised Abbey when he was questioned on it simply added insult to injury.

MM has had some good intel on occasion but needs to stop being so know-it-all about stuff and then going on the defensive when it doesn't come off. It's a trap that Nicko and Philipl, amongst others fell foul of and we now no longer hear from.

In fairness to MM, he has ALWAYS stated that he passes on what he hears in good faith but a little humility when things go tango uniform might help.

But weren't we supposed to know by the start of the season when the new owners took over mercer??

Obviously, it hasn't happened by the start of the new season.

I strongly thought it would happen by the start of the season and I was wrong.

However, I still think that there is something brewing and it will happen sooner rather than later. You only need to look at the circumstantial including an apparent inactivity on some operational issues, a substantial tightening on costs and two visits from the brothers within the last fortnight.

There is a logic behind that Mercerman, but I just can't see us waking up one day and the club having new owners anytime soon. Venky's have been very stubborn in keeping hold of the club and I can't exactly see a massive queue of people wanting to buy the club. I presume when you say 'operational issues' you mean the lack of a boardroom beyond Shelfy and a general lack of administrative figures.

I'm not meaning to criticise Mercerman but I'd just like to point out that even a stopped clock will be right twice a day. :tu:
