No he wouldn't.

Many of his goals he created by himself out of virtually nothing.

He would also get an extra 25% out of each of his team mates.

Big fanbase but empty cabinet rather be a rovers fan small fanbase but seen alot of trophies and much much happier times

Why's that a reason to hate them? The only football fans I hate are gloryhunters. Everyone else is just like us, the vast majority just haven't been as lucky.

Rhodes confidence must be pretty low right now considering the consistency throughout his career to date. Not one goal in pre-season or in 3 matches this season, plus he's 4th in the Scotland pecking order to play the lone striker role. The biggest match of his career to date last night and he gets 5 mins.

May need one to go in off his arse just to get him going again.

Fans of the bigger clubs do frequently have an air of conceit about them and disregard for other clubs with smaller fan bases whether they have won anything or not. I suppose we have been and can be guilty of that too.

May need one to go in off his arse just to get him going again.

Might be being over picky but from what I saw against Forest it would serve him better to 'get off his arse' first.

Said it on the other thread, Rhodes being offered around but no takers - we desperately need some cash.

Neither aspect surprises me.

Bolton will be salivating in anticipation of pulling off the unexpected - Rhodes goals would fire them to promotion.

Perhaps if he felt wanted rather than some piece of meat to be horse traded, he may contribute more don't you think?

The whole debate about Rhodes is farcical IMO. If he goes we're still left with the dross, some of whom won't or aren't bothered whether they play or not. Better the bullet be bitten and pay them up.

But FFS get off his back.

Why do Newcastle want Rhodes when they already have Remy and Cisse ?

Rémy is out injured for the start of the season, and even with him fit they need at least three strikers. I still firmly believe that no one will take a shot at Rhodes for the money that would be needed to move him from Rovers, but with Kinnear in charge of transfers at Newcastle there's actually a slight risk of them doing something as stupid as that.

Anyway, back on topic...

Rovers just confirmed Formica has been sold to Cruz Azul in Mexico.

Best of luck to him. Never really worked for him over here, constantly being played out of position in midfield.

Must admit, I really appreciated his work rate while he was here. Always put a shift in and I think we saw some good stuff from him during his first season with us.

He'll be happy because he'll now be nearer his family land we've got a bit of money and him off the wage bill. Everyone's happy.

Not good enough for the money - would have been worth a gamble at £1m - but the money we paid was way over the top.

Money's got nothing to do with it. If he had been a freebie, would he have been a better player? Another agent flop. Worked hard but achieved nothing.

Needed to get him off the books really. Although with Rochina being injured for a few months, this could have actually given him a chance in his favoured role.

Does his departure allow Bowyer to bring the loan signing he mentioned in the LT?
