pick32 Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 Think MGP will stay and ethuhu will be given another chance. I would also loan Martin out think if he went to a team in France or Spain we would get treble the money next season than we would selling him now. I also wouldn't get rid of both Marcus and Nunes one should stay for back up.

Oklahoma Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 I know not all will leave but I hope most of the ones I listed do. Specially the ones with the bigger wages: Robinson, MGP, Givet, Etuhu, Fórmica...
pick32 Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 Formica failed his medical and could be heading back to Blackburn.
Al Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 Formica failed his medical and could be heading back to Blackburn. Do we have insurance against this sort of thing or a case against the club he was loaned to?
davulsukur Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 Formica failed his medical and could be heading back to Blackburn. Shame, could do with him off the wages.
patrickvalery Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 Sod it! Flog him to the glue factory. We desperately need to shift some of this dead wood. I hope this doesn't impact on any incomings.
ada2020 Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 I'm surprised he can pass medicals in England and Italy recently yet fail a medical in a footballing third world. Sounds suspect.
thenodrog Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 I'm surprised he can pass medicals in England and Italy recently yet fail a medical in a footballing third world. Sounds suspect. Yep... it'll be a scam to get him cheaper. http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Where_did_the_saying_thieving_Arab_come_from Very useful to learn from the lessons of history I always think.
SergioPeter89 Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 Don't worry. Formica has been sold. He passed the test. The club (Bani Yas FC) confirmed on Twitter earlier today along with a picture.https://twitter.com/BaniyasClub/status/352425571730472960/photo/1 It says (From Google Translate): Muslim Suhail Alkatiri member Board of Directors of football with Argentine Mauro Formica Abdullah Al Harthy, director of the first team.
ada2020 Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 Doesn't he just, huge step backwards though for a player looking to play in the top leagues in Europe so I can kind of sympathise. Good luck to him, always seemed to try hard for us.
thenodrog Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 Lots of necessary football skills can be improved significantly, unfortunately pace is not one of them
Backroom Mike E Posted July 3, 2013 Backroom Posted July 3, 2013 Lots of necessary football skills can be improved significantly, unfortunately pace is not one of them Pace can be improved significantly by using certain drills, surely? Admittedly I know little but I'd imagine leg and core strength are the key ingredients for pace?
Backroom Tom Posted July 3, 2013 Backroom Posted July 3, 2013 Isn't explosive pace and acceleration down to the length of your tendons or similar? You can get fitter and the like but doubt it will increase actual pace
ABBEY Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 Don't worry. Formica has been sold. He passed the test. Is Jeremy Clarkson really his agent?
thenodrog Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 Pace can be improved significantly by using certain drills, surely? Admittedly I know little but I'd imagine leg and core strength are the key ingredients for pace? Small steps is one. BUT you need to rem that every apprentice is taught to improve his pace to the same degree, therefore slow players although faster are still slow.
Backroom Mike E Posted July 3, 2013 Backroom Posted July 3, 2013 Small steps is one. BUT you need to rem that every apprentice is taught to improve his pace to the same degree, therefore slow players although faster are still slow. Ah didn't think of it 'relatively'. Was thinking individually. Fair play.
blueboy3333 Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 http://www.sport360.com/football/bani-yas-deal-blackburn-star-formica-falls-through says it's fallen through here because of a knee injury.
chaddyrovers Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 Alan Nixon is saying Formica deal is done. so guess we should wait for the Official Website to confirm the deal is done and signed
chris_h Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 So he's failed a medical and gone? Oh for the pre Twitter days when you had to wait until 4 o'clock to get a Telegraph and be properly updated by messrs Allen and White.
Muddboy Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 Just translated the story that accompanies the Baniyas picture of Mauro on Twitter and it says they've decided not to sign him because of his x-ray results during the medical. Think Nicko's got the wrong end of the stick.
alexanders Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 That's what I thought. That the deal fell through due to the medical. Oh joy! Anyone know how many years Formica have left?
The Rover of Finland Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 Didn't he sign for 3,5 years? Venky's might have extended it for couple more. I think it's the final year begining.
alexanders Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 Thats good stuff though. I feared he was going to be here for 2-3 years more. I can see these players leaving this summer: Martin Olsson and Scott Dann some of the new (insert football legend's name here) players. Rooney and Smalling are already gone. We look to be stuck with Batigol for another year and that leaves us with New-Gattuso I think.
