T.J.Newton Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 Looks clean and simple, hard to tell really from that touched up promo image, Though I'm not really bothered about kit and wont be buying one regardless as the price is always extortionate(relative to the quality) and I'd never wear it anyway, so-long as its bluenwhite halves and not pig ugly I'm not bothered.

Amo Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 http://j.mp/14eI0Uv125th anniversary, my foot. They just couldn't be @ssed to swap the halves.
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 Just how it should be,traditional and plain..no fancy lines, swirls or edge piping to detract from those world famous colours.
tkturner Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 I like it, but its a bit of a snide trick to give it the old "125 year anniversary" line when clearly its the stock harlequin shirt from Nike! so, in theory, I could buy the standard issue one for a tenner, try and buy a rovers badge, sew it on and save a fortune and have the shirt as a sponsorless one!
Gumbi Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 We were always going to get a template kit as every Nike sponsored team in the country except for Man Utd, Man City and Arsenal have them. At least they put halves on the back unlike the template shirt which is all one colour.
ABBEY Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 I wont be buying one. Tampax are the sponsors...we are having a bad period.
donis1410 Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 Its not bad, very simple and like people have said pretty much the harlequin design. I like it....I just dont love it. would have preferred something along the lines of this design http://www.football-shirts.co.uk/fans/anzhi-makhachkala-nike-away-kit-201314_20737 but with red trim and the blue and white quarters.
Clitherover Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 Like it but need to see it in the flesh before I can say I love it
Proudtobeblue&white Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 What colour are the socks ? A spy, ok, customer, was in the brew room today as they were delivered, said all blue, can't verify, but he is my bank manager!
chaddyrovers Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 Its looks very good Home shirt. Will probably buy it before the first game of the season.
Ben-2000 Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 Very happy with that. Halves on the traditional sides, no fancy flashes, shapes or other colours on it. If there is a sponsorless version available i'm sure i'll be getting one!
winstonsmith Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 Like it. It is how a Rovers kit should be - blue and white halves reversed on the back i.e. quarters.
Amo Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 Very happy with that. Halves on the traditional sides, no fancy flashes, shapes or other colours on it. That's because it's a stock Nike kit with a Rovers badge slapped on it.
perthblue02 Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 Hope it is is not the Nike template kit because the backs are pathetic , can't really tell from the Rhodes photo, If its not the same template not a bad looking shirt, just hope they make a beer gut fit version as Nike tend to be on the super model sizing system So a 125 anniversary kit, so I presume the socks will be Navy blue or a lot darker than the shirt colour?
Steve Kean's Hypnotoad Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 Good un that, and with an 80% approval rating on the poll it looks like most fans think the same.
Andy Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 I'm happy with that, looks classy and we're now in our original halves/quarters after years of being the wrong way around. Haven't bought a replica shirt since I was a lad, but I may well be tempted with this one.
Lathund Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 Hope it is is not the Nike template kit because the backs are pathetic , can't really tell from the Rhodes photo, If its not the same template not a bad looking shirt, just hope they make a beer gut fit version as Nike tend to be on the super model sizing system So a 125 anniversary kit, so I presume the socks will be Navy blue or a lot darker than the shirt colour? It's not the template kit. Or at least not that one. You can tell from the pictures that the Rovers kit is quartered, with blue and white halves on the back as well, and thus not like the ones in that picture.
Mafioso Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 https://www.google.com.mt/search?q=jordan+rhodes&hl=en-GB&espv=1&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sboxchip=Images&sa=X&ei=aA7OUaevEMaL4ATksYCACw&ved=0CAcQ_AUoAQ&biw=320&bih=504#biv=i%7C278%3Bd%7CaUxxs3nB8DKQDM%3A Dont know how to post a pic from my iphone...is it even an actual shirt? edit: the link is to a collection of rhodes pics, if u scroll down theres the exact same pic in last years shirt..
supergrabbi01 Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 We wore the colours reversed like that on our 125th anniversary kit by kappa too, back in 2000... It was only worn for one match against wolves I think, there were 1875 individually numbered replicas on sale, I've still got mine.
jim mk2 Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 They have: a) Reverted back to quarters b ) Changed the side of the blue, to being on the right rather than the left They're halves, like they always have been. Bristol Rovers play in quarter shirts. The new kit looks most attractive - glad to see white shorts have been retained and (hopefully) white socks. Never liked us in blue shorts and socks.
Guest Norbert Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 I like it, though I don't do football kits as I still remember how awful that nylon crap was in the mid 90's. Horrible material. Not sure many of us will suit the tight fit either.
