chaddyrovers Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 Oh how i wish you were right, Chaddy. so do I. Time for Bell to go. I wouldn't get rid of Bell. But Lyth and Ballance have to get a score in the second innings if they fail maybe time for a change. But I might be tempt to bring in Finn or Rashid in the next test depending on the type of wicket we play on Quote
Al Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 In place of who Chaddy? If you are thinking of dropping Moheen do you really think we can do without his batting? Quote

Noone can convince me Ballance is better than KP. still un convinced Quote
ABBEY Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 (edited) said this before and KP wont be playing for England. so lets get behind the current team and support them. looking good for a 1st test win so far get behind them until they fail and then get shut like your advocating is NOT getting behind the current team ... LYTH gone to a silly brain dead shot!!!!!!!! 12/1 Edited July 19, 2015 by ABBEY Quote
chaddyrovers Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 Lyth has got out twice very poor and both times didn't have to play at the ball. I think it might be time for a new opening batsman coming in. Maybe Hales In place of who Chaddy? If you are thinking of dropping Moheen do you really think we can do without his batting? Maybe Wood if we play 2 spinners. I just don't believe Ali is good enough at this stage to be your first choice spinner. I like Ali as a player and his batting is his main strength IMO. Edgbaston has been a spinning wicket this summer I believe get behind them until they fail and then get shut like your advocating is NOT getting behind the current team ... Lyth gone to a silly brain dead shot!!!!!!!! 12/1 Still fully behind the team and that's why I have bought tickets for test matches. I will get behind any England player who play for the team. Quote
ABBEY Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 top line you want a new opener.... 2nd from last line...you are still fully behind the team.... MAKE YOUR MIND UP Quote

ABBEY Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 (edited) How ?you want a player(s) dropping . Are you happy at us always losing three wickets or more for less than 50? Have England got a sightseeing trip lined up tomorrow ? They sure don't want to play then Edited July 19, 2015 by ABBEY Quote
matt83 Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 These have been England's starts to test innings in 2015: 42/3 today 30/4 73/3 43/3 177/1 62/4 30/4 74/3 38/3 62/6 125/1 144/1 34/3 52/3 Other than the innings vs New Zealand and both innings in Grenada it's pretty rank stuff from the top order. Embarrassing actually. Perhaps more surprisingly during that period not lost a series (yet). Quote
SouthAussieRover Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 Life is going to be tough for the next few days. Quote

If so show more where I said that then Abbey? Quote
ABBEY Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 You are fully behind the team so must be happy at what's happening Quote
Gav Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 (edited) I think Lyth, Balance and Bell should all be feeling vulnerable for the next test. Balance looks petrified, Bell looks past it and Lyth will come again I'm sure. But with KP never getting in the side I'm not sure we can replace any them to be honest.
