Husky Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 (edited) Just made a slight adjustment, hope you don't mind? Joshy went a long way to winning this one. But the thing about this England team is that potentially 7-8 players could 'do a Josh' and win any game from almost any position. The reason I didn't turn off after South Africa has amassed that massive score against us. Spinners were absolutely dire and almost lost the game - yet the faster bowlers came to the party this time (the opposite of what happened a few games ago). I'm enjoying this T20 stuff more than last years WC. It's not all bish bash bosh as some of the scores elsewhere will tell you. Looking forward to India v Oz tomorrow afternoon in what is essentially a quarter-final. Happy Easter! Edited March 26, 2016 by Husky Quote
Gav Posted March 27, 2016 Posted March 27, 2016 Virat Kohli I salute you, what an innings to beat the Australians, one of the best knocks I've seen at 20:20 level, superb. Quote
Husky Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 (edited) Semi-finals coming up. Anyone could win it from here - even England (amazingly). Though NZ are the only team with a 100% record and have looked pretty damned good - I'll go for an England v India final. Wednesday 30th March 2016 New Zealand v England 14:30 Venue: Delhi Thursday 31st March 2016 West Indies v India 14:30 Venue: Mumbai Edited March 28, 2016 by Husky Quote

Sincere apologies, I don't normally do this kind of pedantic thing, but the lad is actually called Joseph, and calls himself 'Jos'. There's something about getting someone's name wrong that brings out the pedant in me Heskey. 1 Quote

For an even more obscure fact he wanted to be known as Joe, but his elder sister is called Joanne and calls herself Jo. 1 Quote
wolfie Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 Big wicket for England in the semi's. Guptil gone for 15, NZ 17 for 1 off 2 overs Quote
Gav Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 (edited) Struggling now, but Ali balling well. Terrific balling by England towards the back end of the innings, puts us in a great position. Edited March 30, 2016 by GAV Quote
oldjamfan1 Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 I would back England to chase this down. Came back well second ten overs there. Quote
Mattyblue Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 Superb performance, unreal the change in England's limited over approach this last 12 months. 1 Quote
Gav Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 Superb win against a very good New Zealand side who came into the game unbeaten. India in the final, if they make it, will be a different proposition, I'm really looking forward to it. Well done England. Quote

Steve Kean's Hypnotoad Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 Absolutely magnificent from England. A performance that even the English media and England fans will struggle to find fault with. Which must mean it was perfect. Quote
gumboots Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 Not quite since worryingly morgan was out first ball again Quote
den Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 Yeah, but let's not go overboard about Morgan's recent form. He only has difficulty with one ball - the first one. Quote
Gav Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 Morgan took a very good catch and got his bowling options spot on for me. His batting is a concern, but he has more to his game than just batting. Quote
Gav Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 You can almost hear a pin drop in Mumbai, the Windies look like they're going to win this. Quote
Salgado Is Still A Hero Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 Just saw the highlights there, some performance by that Simmons. 1 Quote
Norbert Rassragr Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 Mumbai has been hit by flash floods after Kholi got smacked for 6. Quote
Husky Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 (edited) Well that was pretty amazing - England in the final against Windies (not just a one-man team after all). Not many people predicted that. Looking forward to the final on Sunday where the crowd will mostly be against England. Hopefully Windies will field as bad as they did yesterday. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/35937515 Edited April 1, 2016 by Husky Quote
Gav Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 Lost the toss, history shows we're up against it. Darren Sammy has now won 10 on the bounce. Come on England, lets get 200+ and make a game of it. Quote
matt83 Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 Pretty rubbish start. Turning into a disastrous sporting weekend 1 Quote
