4.7 an over isn't

They always play stupid shots, the Aussies did too, is that bazball?

The idea is to score quickly while they're in.

Most people have got what they wanted, a more cautious approach to bazball, it just doesn't work.

God forbid we have a group of test players who able to play proper cricket. Learn a wide range of shots, know how to defend and how to attack, what balls to hit and what balls to leave. Nah let’s just swing at it and see what happens.

We haven't had a Test class opener since Alistair Cook retired. And we haven't had a Test class opening partnership since Cook and Strauss were in harness. This lot are just products of T20 cricket

The money is in white ball cricket. You have white ball specialists like Sneed who have turned down a red ball contract with Somerset (and has never played a first class match) cos it's peanuts compared to the money he can make in T20 comps around the world.

That's just the way the game has gone - those gritty, technically sound batsmen are a thing of the past it seems.

Money rules (I've read it's all the players talk about in the dressing rooms) and "instant" cricket is the perfect game for the Playstation generation - they don't have the patience to sit through proper Test cricket
