wilsdenrover Posted December 3, 2023 Posted December 3, 2023 Death bowling not up to scratch - again. 1 Quote
Backroom Silas Posted December 3, 2023 Backroom Posted December 3, 2023 Sam Curran's 2.5 death overs went for 53 runs. Wow. 1 Quote
Dreams of 1995 Posted December 3, 2023 Posted December 3, 2023 Our bowling attack just is not there. Poor is an understatement Curran and Carse going for nearly 10 an over. You’ll never win a game with those numbers Quote

I don’t think Buttler is even close to being captain material. Quote

I didn't see the game but it appears the wicket needed England to take pace off the ball 1 Quote

I really do think it boils down to Buttler not being a good captain - he doesn’t seem to be able to react to conditions etc. Quote

Let’s hope we see some improvements (and a win) on Wednesday. Quote
wilsdenrover Posted December 6, 2023 Posted December 6, 2023 A sensible, no incidents, run chase would be nice. Quote
AllRoverAsia Posted December 10, 2023 Posted December 10, 2023 (edited) WI win an ODI series v England for the first time in 25 years, I think. It was nip and tuck with WI falling slightly behind in the run rate until that Atkinson over for 24, the game changer together with Livingstone's catch boundary FU. The dismal reign of Butler staggers on. Maybe he's just not suited to the stresses of the top job which appears to be adversely effecting his overall game. matt83 Posted December 13, 2023 Posted December 13, 2023 It’s not a jobs for the boys appointment which I’m glad about. But that said I’m slightly underwhelmed particularly as had a piss poor effort at Gloucestershire Quote
matt83 Posted December 13, 2023 Posted December 13, 2023 Managed to take Gloucestershire from division 1 to the bottom of division 2 with 2 wins in 2 years. On the face of it it looks like another bottom draw appointment but best of luck I suppose. Quote
oldjamfan1 Posted December 14, 2023 Posted December 14, 2023 Yeah it’s an odd one. I wonder how he sold himself at the interview with that track record. As you say though, let’s all hope he makes a success of it 🤞🏻 Quote
Backroom Silas Posted December 14, 2023 Backroom Posted December 14, 2023 Wicket on final ball, but my word, that was painful to watch: Quote
Ianrally Posted December 18, 2023 Posted December 18, 2023 Am I correct in saying that there is a move afoot to get home test matches on free to air TV? Quote
