Yes. A Private Members Bill in the Commons trying to give home Test matches ‘crown jewel’ status like the football World Cup, Wimbledon etc - probably little chance of it getting into law as PMBs rarely do.

Also, you would assume the ECB would fight it too as Sky bankroll the game here… obviously to the detriment of the sport’s profile which has fallen off a cliff since it went behind a paywall post the 2005 Ashes.

Am I correct in saying that there is a move afoot to get home test matches on free to air TV?

Yes there is but the problem is Sky Sports have bankrolled the English cricket for the last 18 years and without that investment, counties would have struggled even more financially than they are.

India lose 6 wickets for 0 runs (in 11 balls) going from 153-4 to 153 all out.

In fairness to them SA were all out for 55!

Aye with 23 wickets falling on the first day you’d be a bit pissed off if you had a ticket for day 3 wouldn’t you?

England vs India test series will be shown TNT Sports.. They done a 5 year deal with this.

Sky Sports didn't seem interest in the deal. Probably down to cost, viewing figures and lack of quality test matches out there in that deal

England were around 103-3 at lunch I believe, which was going at 4 runs an over, which is unheard of for teams touring India, but they failed to capitalise on that after lunch.

As OjF says above, 250 is about par on this pitch, if we have the bowling attack to trouble India....

Bazball facing its toughest test in India and the traditional England batting weakness against spin and India racing to 119-1 in reply doesn’t augur well. England potentially bowling last on this pitch is good but will India let them by building a huge total and bowling England out again?

Heavy defeat beckons but I suppose at least it looks like India will need to bat again. Yes, that is the sound of straws being clutched…

Its never easy going to India for any team, but the bowlers let the side down badly here, 250 was par on this pitch.

I'm not going to jinx it, but a milestone is approaching 🤞

If we can make India chase 200 it isn’t necessarily over

Stokes simply has to manage his bowlers better this time, else they’ll knock 200 off no problem.
Good fight back today though.
