Pedro Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 But it's quite alright for professional women to swoon over a sportsman's appearance and squeeze their biceps etc. Double standards, both are totally harmless and it's absolutely ridiculous to even consider it news worthy on this scale. She was hardly doing some deep digging journalism for the Cook Report. Quote

Baz Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-australia-35231783- I've found the (over) reaction to this incredibly embarrassing. He only asked her out for a drink for god's sake. Theres a time and a place for these things, i.e. Just ask her once the interview ends, but apart from that he's a single guy asking a woman to join him for a drink, hardly worthwhile of massive media coverage. den Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 England need to be very careful here - they could lose this game. 23-2 and SA all over them. Quote
onlyonejackwalker Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 Big trouble now 116-6. Big trouble indeed. What a collapse. Need to somehow survive the session. Ali and Bairstow are in. Quote

Mattyblue Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 Only England could hit 600+ declared and then be hanging on 1 Quote

Tyrone Shoelaces Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 We could have won this change in weather came at the wrong time, but will be very confident heading into the 3rd test. Nah, we'd have batted it out no problem. Quote
Mattyblue Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 Usually a bit more bounce at Jo'Burg, so here's hoping it isn't another 600 plays 600. Amla just isn't a captain, which I think even he knows. Quote
den Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 There was plenty of bounce at Cape Town Matty. Plenty of short balls went for four over the keepers head. If there's more bounce than that, they'll be going for sixes. Quote
Mattyblue Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 Day 1 definitely, I was thinking that it was a results wicket, however it seemed to become easy paced as the game went on. I suppose it just didn't disentegrate as you would hope, and as there was no swing or seam, ended up as a draw. Though we did drop plenty of catches- ie AB on 8. Quote

The ball was lifting off a length on the last day. Good test cricket wicket. Catch your catches, win your matches. Quote
Mattyblue Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 Damage was done day 3 with all the drops. Very patient double ton from Amla too. Quote
onlyonejackwalker Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 Good first day for England. The pitch will suit their attack so we need to polish off the last three quickly tomorrow. Come in England! Be good if Cook can get a big score first innings. 1 Quote
onlyonejackwalker Posted January 15, 2016 Posted January 15, 2016 160 + for 4 at tea chasing just over 300. Cook and Hayes both failed again. Root and Stokes leading the fight back. Important final session. Don't lose it here England!!! Quote
