so to sum up the first half, we looked awesome.. composed solid and good passing, rochina gets injured and best comes on who has offerd @#/? all and is so weak on the ball for a big guy its untrue..

we give a way a soft penalty and then after that we collapse as it was all derby and could have been 2 down

spurr looks amazing, king is shocking and needs to come off for taylor, and marrow and lowe are protecting the defense well but cant pass for @#/? so one off for cairney

absolutely no place in the team for best don't understand what he brings

If only we'd started with taylor and cairney I can't help but think we'd be better off.........2 subs left and the obvious stand out choices for hauling off are Best and King

Started off well, and have got steadily worse since. Stupid handball, as Derby have done nothing themselves, and harsh yellow card, but away from home especially you need to score when on top.

Changing the formation has helped them and hindered us. We've got other players who could have played where Rochina was and kept everything the same.

Good start.. but not feeling positive at all now for this game, no way we can play with Judge/king on the wings.. they are not wingers and Lowe/Marrow combo is dreadful in a 442 might as well hand them the game.

Plenty of positives from the opening 30 minutes of this game. Did we play better at any point last season?

We dig in a little and believe in the boys, we can get something out of this game.

Dunn or Taylor should have come on. Best has done nothing and its completely ruined our shape. Gutted for Ruben, we were looking a great threat going forward.

Two very bad decisions here have ruined a very promising half.

Marrow, never never raise arms in the area as its begging the ref to make a call.

Best, the man in the "hole" was working, pulling Derby all over the place and making plenty of room ... Bringing Best on purely means long ball. Oh and two touches that resulted in one yellow card and another to send Derby away for a great chance!!

Thoughts after 45 minutes of the season:

SPURR - Thank God we signed this guy. So good to have a committed, comfortable, left-footed DEFENDER at left-back. It's been a while.

ROCHINA - Anyone who has spoken up against his importance to the side must feel a bit stupid about now. He's not only the most talented player in our team, he's quite probably the most talented player in the division. And now he's out until 2014. Brilliant.

JUDGE - Lively. Will be a good player for us.

MARROW - Virtually indistinguishable from Lowe. They are essentially the same player.

PREDICTION - Rovers to narrowly miss out on the playoffs. Then all next summer we'll be wondering about what would have happened had Rochina played more than half the season...

Spurr has looked outstanding and has a great throw in.

we need the formation we started with away from home 442 don't work unless the 2 have a great understanding or are both top draw unfortunately for us 1 of the 2 is Best and everything good has capitulated back to a non existent midfield

Could be less, but could equally likely be more. I know a semi-professional who missed six months with a dislocated shoulder the second time it went.

Interesting half time on the bet365 coverage they have left the mics running from the sky coverage whilst just showing the pitch (pressume when the sky adverts are showing, apparently Rochina gone to hospital and he's wants to go back to spain (presuume this was Robinson speaking), Robinson and the pundit bloke just chatting about Jamie carragher going into coaching and there was a mention of Kean but missed what was said.

Going to be interesting what Bowyer has said at half time , still think we will get something out of this
