Backroom Tom Posted July 29, 2013 Backroom Posted July 29, 2013 We will either win or lose, or draw maybe Some people will moan - I will probably be one of them 0 - 1 Jason Lowe volley from 40 yards

92er Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 Definitely Appleton because I remember he broke the record for managing 3 different teams in the FA Cup in a single season re that Derby game Apologies.
darrenrover Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 I'm going to buck the general consensus opinion. I predict a convincing 3-1 win for Rovers and have a sneaky feeling we're going to have a good season. More importantly so, if we manage to give GB a fair crack of the whip and get behind the team at home, who knows?
roverandout Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 3-1 to derby, two crap teams, except rovers are crapper
G Somerset Rover Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 It's hard not to be worried when we're going to be lining up with a midfield pairing of Lowe & Marrow barring some miracle and us actually getting a central midfielder with relative pedigree over the line. Derby will be licking their lips and as a result of this we will be overrun in midfield. Would love to be proved wrong and to see Bannan or similar lining up on Sunday. Derby 2 Rovers 0
Threepenny Bit Foot Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 Draw would be a good result here. Worried we might lose a close game 2-1
sparky12 Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 On Setanta In Australia :-D 1-2 Rovers, Taylor & Rochina
bennyboyt11 Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 Derby 2 - 3 Blackburn Rhodes to score a late winner.
Brfc90 Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 excellent preview id say 1-1 which wouldnt be the worst start for rovers
Majiball Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 0-7 to the Rovers, rhodes a hat-trick, Judge 2, Taylor 1 and Jake Kean with the 7th.
majorstyre Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 i`ll be there depending on the midfield line-up i think (hope) we will scrape a 2-1 win (rhodes & rochina)
Andy Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 1-1 with Rhodes scoring sounds about right. Both teams too scared to lose their first game of the season, so lots of scrapping around in midfield for the majority of the game.
JAL Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 Wonder what the odds are on how many times will the Rovers midfielders hit the opponents eighteen yard line in a half. Should be interesting.
OJRovers Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 Anyone driving to the game from Manchester area got a spare place? Will glady contribute to petrol etc!
Butty Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 This was tweeted by what claims too be the official Derby County FC police page. @DCFCPolice: #rovers have sold 795 tickets so far for Sundays #FL125 anniversary fixture against the #rams #brfc #dcfcfans
tomphil Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 Not bad, maybe make about a thousand on the day then. Quite good for a tv game for us.
Roverthechimp Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 Stupid question (and i risk being ridiculed) but why don't we reinvent (again - think Sam did it last time) Pedersen as a central midfielder until we either 1) sign somebody 2) get one of etuhu/dunn/williamson fit or 3) play 4-3-3 with lowe/marrow deep togther with taylor and judge and then rochina given a free role behind king/best and rhodes? Prediction - 1-0 to derby

Prediction - 1-0 to derby A sensible suggestion given the options in central midfield we have available. How have we managed to get worse in the critical position that needed strengthening this summer??
Salgado Is A Hero Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 We need a creative midfielder, not somebody who's only creativity from open play is chipping the ball over players heads straight to the keeper. Actually in fairness Pedersen does create quite a few attacks, it's just most are for the opposition.
Waggy76 Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 If we avoid defeat ( looking like that is the plan season ) it will be a good start !
mjwood00 Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 The start of this season is absolutely crucial, in a number of ways. What I'm looking for is 'bounce-backability'. Last season if we went behind that was it - game over.
