Neal Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 a bit weak. but nice to see king up front.. where is kilgallon? Injured. Groin. Couple of weeks.
Mercer Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 Shocked with this line up: Rovers: Eastwood, Kane, Songo'o, Givet, Morris, Taylor, Marrow, Cairney, Olsson, Dunn, King. Carlisle to go through by a couple of goals.
The Rover of Finland Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 Blackburn Rovers @OneRovers 31s David Dunn captains the side definatly the end for pedersen if hew aint even in this squad :-/ Think Givet plays to show he is fit. Good performance might wake a potential buyer. Orr, MGP and Formica won't feature for Rovers anymore I think.
magicalmortensleftpeg Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 Happy with the line up. Interesting that he's kept the players who perhaps underperformed on Sunday in the team - Kane, King and Marrow.
OsloRover Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 Happy with the line up. Interesting that he's kept the players who perhaps underperformed on Sunday in the team - Kane, King and Marrow. Exactly my thoughts as well, probably wants to make these players forget their last match as soon as possible and give them a chance to play their way back into contention for the weekend.
The Rover of Finland Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 I expect Best&Rhodes are given the last 30mins together as they propably start against Forest. How long will Dunn last? 34mins sub is my guess.
chaddyrovers Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 Shocked with this line up: Rovers: Eastwood, Kane, Songo'o, Givet, Morris, Taylor, Marrow, Cairney, Olsson, Dunn, King. Carlisle to go through by a couple of goals. why are you shocked by the team??? surely Bowyer is thinking that Saturday game against Forest is more important than this league cup game. I wouldn't have started with Rhodes or Best tbh. saved them for Forest game as I'm very sure that they will start Think Givet plays to show he is fit. Good performance might wake a potential buyer. Orr, MGP and Formica won't feature for Rovers anymore I think. Totally agree. Can't see Orr, Pedersen or Formica, Rosado playing for Rovers again. Happy with the line up. Interesting that he's kept the players who perhaps underperformed on Sunday in the team - Kane, King and Marrow. good point.
Clitherover Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 Shocked with this line up: Rovers: Eastwood, Kane, Songo'o, Givet, Morris, Taylor, Marrow, Cairney, Olsson, Dunn, King. Carlisle to go through by a couple of goals. Why?, no better time than this to give the second string a run in imo. Reckon we'll win 3-0.
Presty On Tour Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 Looking forward to seeing Cairney play and where he plays, could be in midfield next to Marrow or in the hole behind King. I thought he showed some nice touches when he came on against Derby.
The Rover of Finland Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 How long is Henley out for?And Williamson?
onlyonejackwalker Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 Shocked with this line up: Rovers: Eastwood, Kane, Songo'o, Givet, Morris, Taylor, Marrow, Cairney, Olsson, Dunn, King. Carlisle to go through by a couple of goals. I didn't expect a walkover whatever team we put out, but the starting eleven selected should have enough to cope.
Backroom Tom Posted August 7, 2013 Backroom Posted August 7, 2013 Lowe being rested shows he is seen as a key player most likely :s
Neal Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 How long is Henley out for? I can tell you this much, long enough for him to feel comfortable about being out on the p*ss in Preston.
Lytham Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 Lots of injured players at the moment. Rochina, Campbell, Henley, Kilgallon, Evans, Williamson. All potential first teamers.
RockinRover Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 Dunn is looking more lean than he did the last time we saw him.
Lathund Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 King finally playing in the position he should be played in. I see him as a forward too, but not as a lone striker like here. Wide in a 4-3-3 is his best position IMO, followed by up front in a 4-4-2 (Or 3-5-2 or other formation with 2 strikers).
RockinRover Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 He's built and quick enough to pull off the lone striker role.
Jamesw1982 Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 Stunning ball from Cairney! 2 or 3 already in 6 minutes more than lowe all last season Songo looking dangerous from the corners n free kicks
BRFC1995 Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 blimey just put the game on............bit early to rest this many isn't it if we were to name our strongest 11 I guess only taylor and cairney are playing tonight and Carlisle score no suprise
