den Posted August 3, 2013 Author Posted August 3, 2013 Retired from football at 28. He was very highly rated as a youth team player, now a postman. Wonder what happened.
broadsword Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 Final ball let him down, his delivery was always second class. Other than that he could turn on a postage stamp.

T4E Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 Final ball let him down, his delivery was always second class. Other than that he could turn on a postage stamp. After he left Rovers he did the rounds, I believe the disappointment of being released enveloped him, til he realised that it was all part and parcel of the game.

Backroom Tom Posted August 3, 2013 Backroom Posted August 3, 2013 Final ball let him down, his delivery was always second class. Other than that he could turn on a postage stamp. I was going to post that
footypix Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 Jerome Watt had a decent career in non-league, with clubs like AFC Fylde and Lancaster City. The majority of Academy players will end up playing non-league.
Guest Norbert Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 We should sign him. He might be a surprise package who could slot in the odd goal. I also hear he is a staunch monarchist, and is delighted about the safe arrival of the royal male. It is a good thing he wasn't looked at a year or two ago, as a part time contract would have been terrible for his fitness. He'd probably be the poor guy who has to deliver Kean's 500 letters of fan mail a week.
chris_h Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 Steve Grunshaw, who was the next big thing towards the end of the 90s and allegedly a target for Arsenal, is now a Police Officer in Accrington apparently.
Baz Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 Someone posted on twitter a few weeks back that of the number professional footballers at 18 years old, only 5 % are still professional footballers at at 21yo.
Silencio Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 We signed him with Ciaran Donnelly from Blackpool I think. Donnelly was England's best young footballer at the time and I think scored 3 or 4 goals against Romania. Never came through for us though. Wonder what happened there...
T4E Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 According to Wiki he plays for Kendall Town and is on the coaching staff at Blackpool
