Tyrone Shoelaces Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 Maybe our hands are tied but I don't like the Marrow/Lowe combination in midfield and I don't think Best/Rhodes will work up front. Come on Rovers, prove me wrong.

neophox Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 Evans to come on second half probably if midfeld doesn't work.
T.J.Newton Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 if Kanes current erratic performances continue id prefer to see Songo'o given a chance at right back(GB did say he can play right back), hed offer more defensively and seems to have plenty of pace to get down the wings to support our wide players.
hesfromburn Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 1 positive on Lowe is he is due a good game Lowe played very well when he came on last game was one of our better players, played plenty of inch perfect passes to send Taylor down the wing won the ball back as soon as we lost it he is one of the main reasons we have had the main share of possession in our last games, he also took his pen very well and had a cracking shot at goal. He doesn't deserve the stick he gets from some. But I'm not sure him and marrow can play together, I'd say its more of a hope marrow can have a good game. I personally would have started with Dunn behind Rhodes as I'm not a fan of 4-4-2 and I don't think we have the squad for it (hope to be proved wrong though). COYB!
T.J.Newton Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 from what ive seen of taylor so far, he seems like a right sided Wilcox(good thing in my book).
OsloRover Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 Not really sure how the lineup could have been any different, probably the best side we can put out today.
Ricky Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 Happy with Taylor for King. Seems to make sense. Nice to see Evans on the bench as well. Didn't think he was anywhere near fit.
neophox Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 Forest seems to play 4-5-1 wth Henderson lone striker. Also Kelvin Wilson returns from Celtic to start. Will be a hard fought game.
Salgado Is A Hero Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 Best vs Wilson should be a good battle. Don't be fooled by Kelvin Wilson's size, he's deceptively fast. Optimistic for this one, but then again I usually am. 2-1 to us, Rhodes to score first.
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 Forest seems to play 4-5-1 wth Henderson lone striker. Also Kelvin Wilson returns from Celtic to start. Will be a hard fought game. If that's the case I can see their 5 overwhelming our 4 in midfield.
RibbleValleyRover Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 Is it just me or is it pretty pointless that Radio Lancs are live at the ground today with their 'Matchday Live' show and yet they aren't providing commentary of the game? I know they can't do many Rovers home game commentaries (been the case for the past two seasons), but what's the point being there? On the starting eleven it's probably the best one we could put out right now so no complaints. The game will be decided by the midfield battle, if Forest dominate the midfield with their 5 midfielders we will resort to hoofing the ball up to Rhodes and Best. If that happens I think Forest will be strong favorites to win the game.
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted August 10, 2013 Moderation Lead Posted August 10, 2013 Don't like the look of that midfield, especially if forest go 4-5-1, and we're lumping it long to Best. Need to get the wingers on the balls and whip a lot of crosses in.
DanLad Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 C'mon Rovers! First home game, let's make it a win and set up a good season!
AdamRochina Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 this forum is how I am going to keep up to date with the game plus twitter onerovers, so I hope its lively in here haha
DanLad Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 Sky Sports report Forest lively early on, but Rovers have come closer to scoring with a clearance off the line.
The Dart Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 Well the last few years would have had us a goal behind already. So some improvement to be seen.
DanLad Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 Dowie on Sky saying that Forest are starting to boss the game. Dowie is loving Dann, though.
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted August 10, 2013 Moderation Lead Posted August 10, 2013 Lichaj unbelievably fortunate to be on the field still.
AdamRochina Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 the refs always screw us over in some way watch him score the winner
Fife Rover Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 Burnley now two up against Sheff W. Looks like being a long afternoon again!! The way Dowie is telling it Rovers are getting tonked. Only Dann and Hanley keeping them in the game.
roverslee Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 Burnley now two up against Sheff W. looks like being a long afternoon again!! why?? were blackburn rovers not burnley, don't give 2 f's what they do till we play them
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted August 10, 2013 Moderation Lead Posted August 10, 2013 It's petered out into a bit of a damp squib this half!
