That Boywer quote worries me.

Untruths and arrogance - Forest, for example didn't beat us by fluke. They beat us by being average against a poor side.

I appreciate that he needs to say certain things for the owners' benefit, but that reads horribly.

Sounds like a man under (unnecessary) pressure.

We need stability but with the right man in charge. All Venkys have done since sacking Allardyce is replace bad/rookie managers with bad/rookie managers. If we got a proven top drawer manager for this division in, then we'd undoubtedly improve. Which is exactly what we should have done when Kean was sacked last season. The problem now is we've got a worse side and no money, making us a much less attractive prospect. Plus it doesn't seem like there are as many really good managers available at the moment, we had an embarrassment of riches when Kean was sacked but Holloway, Davies and McCarthy have been snapped up since then. I was ridiculed for suggesting him last season but I would honestly be chuffed if we got Gary Megson in.

I'd be happy with Megson, thats how sh!te we are.

Bowyer after the game:

"First and foremost we are disappointed that we are going away from here empty handed," said Bowyer after the game. "It is not acceptable from us to accept the result.
''I thought we came and were dominant in possession but unfortunately we've gone in at half-time 1-0 down off the back of two refereeing or linesman's decisions.
"Their lad is offside for the first one when he heads it in the goal, we've seen that again. Then we have a goal disallowed against Chris Taylor when quite clearly, and it is clearly, that Jordan Rhodes is onside at the beginning.
"Then Jordan Rhodes goes around the goalkeeper and just misses in the first half.
"The way that we passed the ball around was pleasing and we continued in the second half in the same vein but we get done by what can only be described as a fluke so that is majorly disappointing.
"Everybody in there is desperate to win and unfortunately tonight we've not been able to do that. They are professional people in there and they are disappointed.
"The three games we have played we have lost two and it isn't through the opposition dominating us, it has been by flukes."

Sorry but those comments are an utter joke. Sounds like a desperate man already.

Uh oh, I smell bullshite, here comes Karl Pilkington................. BULLSHIT

Wow some people are really desperate to paint Bowyer in the same picture as Kean aren't they?

Remember Kean backstabbed to get where he was, Bowyer earned it.

Your right, but the comments are Totally untrue, losing because of flukes?

Spade's a spade and no matter how he got the job, he's either not seen the same games as the rest of us this season, or he's just starting the bullshit game. But either way, you can't refute that if those comments had been attributed to Kean, then he would have been slaughtered on here.

Quite a bit of disrespect to Doncaster on here, lets not forget we ARE a mid to lower table championship side on the pitch and our purchases this season have shown that, so we are going to lose against teams in a similar position.

Not happy with it, but feel the opportune time for anger has gone as the culprits seem to have got away with it all with full FA approval ,some were happy to turn a blind eye to off field activities whilst we were in the Premier League and now we are reaping the after effects.

But that's the problem we are NOT a Premier League team anymore and feel we won't be for some time to come now that it seems the rogues have milked the cow and left it's carcass in the less than capable hands of clueless from Pune, an inexperienced manager trying to bed in a squad of mid to bottom standard championship players is going to take more than three games so it's a case of wait and see if we can reach the dizzy heights of 10th in the Championship . (Although we are only two seasons away from Europe so think we might win the FA cup that's if the script that was written for cheif clueless is realistic)

So whilst we still are at the beckon call of Clueless in Pune we have to cut our cloth accordingly mid table championship plodders occasionally flirting with the play offs and relegation with a nob end supporting shelf salesman with a penchant for a Arthur Daley style deal at the helm and a three year mute FA member in the wings waiting for his next FA freebie.

Not a happy situation, and not one of the supporters making but reality is lower expectations.

Personally think we were in a better position when worrying if Bill Fox had sold enough fruit & veg to be able to buy tea bags :)

I think people on here need to be more patient and if after the 10th game things haven't improved then the calls for Bowyer's head will be fair, but try and be respectful and remember what he did for us last season.

I've heard this too many times over the past three seasons.

"Give 'em a chance FFS!"

In any case, the problems go a lot deeper than just the managerial incumbent.

There's no point getting rid of Bowyer (although we should've appointed an experienced man in the first place), because whoever we get in now, we're stuffed totally.

Lack of goalscoring opportunity due to players not creating chances, HOW LONG IS THIS GOING TO GO ON??

I dont post much anymore because I dont see the point, when we actually get a decent central midfield that can play football then maybe there might be some point discussing things but as things stand its a waste of time.

If you want to play football through the centre of the park and on the deck you gotta have better than Jason Frigging Lowe, If you are going to start a season with the dross we have in the centre of the park at least play long ball and have an actual target man.

Things look dire and have looked like this for some time, we cant compete at at passing football with the @#/? we have against most teams in this league...Lowe and Marrow would struggle to start for Stanley.

We have been dire in the middle of the park since Jermaine Jones left.

Important to remember bowyer started poorly in his second stint in charge last season. We lost 3-0 to Cardiff and 3-2 to sheff w and looked woeful in those games. Many called for his head then and said he couldn't turn it around a second time.

He did and we then went on to lose only one more match that season.

People are writing him off again this season. He's rebuilt the squad and is bedding in new players. Cairney and Evans look decent as do spurr, judge and Taylor. Need a couple of good attacking loan players tho desperately as we lack creativity.

I think it would be foolish to write him off already this season. Extremely poor tonight and its shocked a lot of people, including myself, how woeful we were especially as we were good against a good derby team at a very tough pride park.

The warning lights were there when we got battered by Cardiff and couldn't defend for toffee against sheff w last season. We looked dead certs for relegation after the sheff w match.

We went on to keep 2 clean sheets in the following 2 games despite looking like we couldn't defend to save our lives against Cardiff and sheff w.

At the moment we look like we have no creativity, goals or defence. We'll probably go and beat Barnsley 5-0 next week!!

Wish GB would just accept that we lost rather than making pathetic excuses. Saying that doesn't bracket him with lean but if he carries on saying ridiculous thins he will bracket himself with him.

Tonight's result is probably the lowest point this club has sunk to in more than 20 years....the only way is up........baby

Big difference is Bowyer was candidly honest after both the above defeats. What warmed me to him originally was his straightforward nature and the distinct lack of BS coming from his mouth. If he starts coming out with the tripe he's espoused tonight after awful performances he'll lose a lot of good-will. Fans are tired of being fed excuses and Bowyer will quickly lose his popularity if he tries to fool the fans in the same way his predecessors attempted to.

I think taking aside penalty shouts, flukes excuses etc... etc...

The stats don't lie 1 shot on target in open play tells it's own sorry story.

For a team to have 58% possession and only have one shot on target from open play is just not good enough.

Since we have lost rochina we have absolutely no creativity in the team & at the back we just don't seem good enough.

At least if we had defended better we would have got a point but we just seem unable to keep a clean sheet.

Kilgallon, DJ,Ruben can't come back soon enough.

One thing that baffles me is why Nunes was not in the 18 at least from wide areas he at least can put in dangerous balls.

I am not surprised Rhodes looked furious he has not had any service and won't score without good service.

Also seen the goals on SSN why did no-one close down Husband from crossing/shooting & tbh Kean should really be

claiming that ball.

and a recurring theme we really should be defending set pieces better to try & say the 1st is offside is an excuse we

really should be doing much better.

IMO we will be lucky if anyone takes Dann after such an awful performance the guy should be nowhere near the 1st

11 let alone be named captain.

Oh, dear. This is incredibly worrying.

Doncaster are one of the worst teams in this league and they are cruising at 2-0. Awful, simply awful.

What exactly are you basing this on? Have you watched us recently? Or is it because we were League 1 last season?

We have a good squad (as a @#/? poor away following have seen tonight) we should have battered Blackpool & got what we deserved tonight, do not be surprised if we finish well above you this season, in fact after watching you lot don't be surprised if you tumble straight to League 1. Some of the quotes on here in the last 48 hours have shown some of you do not have a clue about our town & club, hopefully those people will do some research next time. Glasshouses etc. good luck against Barnsley.

After witnessing that tonight and then seeing Bowyers comments i have to say im very disappointed in him. I like him and don't want him sacked so don't want to be to harsh, Kean he ain't because Kean was an all round chunt of a bloke. We have to remember GB is a coach, a youth team coach FFS but tonight he should have come out and highlighted the lack of effort and commitment wasn't enough and some players just aren't doing their basic jobs. I wouldn't expect him to slag them off in public but i do worry if the same things are being said in the dressing room. Weak management and failure to acknowledge whats wrong blighted us all last season, looks the same again sadly.
